Amal Clooney Attends Prince’s Trust Awards with Prince Charles

Human rights lawyer and wife of actor George Clooney, Amal Clooney, was a star guest at the Prince's Trust Awards in London on Tuesday night.

The event took place at London's Drury Lane Theatre, and Clooney was photographed with on the red carpet.

Clooney has been working with the Prince's Trust since 2019, when she accepted an invitation to support an award celebrating the achievements of young women.

The award was then named in her honour.

When emerged from St George's Chapel on May 19, 2018, as the Duchess of Sussex, the world rejoiced.

However, many people noticed something wasn't quite right.

Many people around the world noticed that she had invited A-list celebrities to the wedding that she hardly knew.

It was reported subsequently that the Hollywood power couple didn't know the royals before their wedding invitation arrived.

The Story Behind the Clooneys' Invitation

Writing for Graydon Carter's online publication Airmail, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's journalist sister Rachel wrote about a story doing the rounds that while Caroline Bartholomew, Diana's former flatmate, was waiting for the wedding service to start, she turned to the couple alongside her and asked how they knew Harry or Meghan.

“We don't,” the Clooneys answered brightly, she said.

“What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

These are the words Harry allegedly uttered when he threw a colossal tantrum over something.

So if Meghan wanted A-listers at their wedding, she could have it, regardless if they knew them.

Idris Elba Confirms He Was Not Paid for DJing at Royal Wedding

Actor Idris Elba, who acted as the DJ at and Meghan Markle's royal wedding, confirmed that his sweet gesture was purely a gift and he had no intention of being paid.

His comment comes after the Luther star was quizzed about his appearance at the star-studded event which made global headlines.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Wire actor opened up about the couple's nuptials and gave an insight into the big event.

Jimmy asked, “You've talked about this before.

You DJed at the royal wedding?

Did you get paid for that?”

Idris sported a stunned expression on his face as the actor shook his head.

He replied, “No.

What?

Nothing?”

Jimmy quizzed further.

Idris chuckled, “No.

It was a gift to my friends.”

Meghan Markle's Hollywood Connections

Brittany of the Royal News Network brought up in a video that she had been following some Hollywood circles around the time Meghan was on the scene, and not once had she heard of her before her engagement to Harry.

Despite the PR push that Markle was this big star in Hollywood, she wasn't, and it is my belief why people started to ask questions about the wedding guests.

Meghan wanted to make people believe she was a big deal in Hollywood by inviting A-listers.

Also, I think that she thought people would believe it, forgetting that the internet exists.

The Sus6s' Selfish Ideologies

Jump forward 5 years, and it seems that the Sus6s have become a real thing based on selfish ideologies of how the world owes them.

Just because you invite A-list celebrities to your wedding doesn't mean you become one of them.

It just doesn't work that way.

Reese Witherspoon's Decision Not to Attend the Royal Wedding

Kudos to Reese Witherspoon for not attending the royal wedding and stating why.

She was one of the few A-list celebrities who didn't attend the event.

Witherspoon said, “I have a serious problem with anyone who tries to use the royal wedding as an opportunity to promote themselves.”
