Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are the new neighbors of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Montecito.

The Maroon 5 frontman and his wife recently purchased a mansion near the Harkles, which was previously owned by Rob Lowe.

The property was sold to healthcare executive Jack McKinley for $44.5 million in 2020, who then sold it to Levine and Prinsloo for $52 million.

Compared to the Sussexes' residence, which cost $14 million, Levine and Prinsloo paid significantly more for their new home.

However, it is much larger than Lowe's former place, spanning 18,000 square feet.

The Harkles moved into their residence, nicknamed the Chateau, in the summer of 2021.

The mansion sits on five acres of land and boasts 16 bathrooms, nine bedrooms, a separate guest house, a library, a sauna, a wine cellar, a game room, a gym, tennis courts, and an arcade.

Fans got a glimpse of the couple's home in August 2021 when Meghan released a video to launch her 40×40 initiative for her 40th birthday.

Levine and Prinsloo have a history of buying properties from other celebrities and then selling them to fellow stars.

In 2014, Levine owned a bachelor pad in Los Angeles, which he renovated before selling it to John Mayer.

In 2019, the couple sold their massive Beverly Hills estate for $45 million to Ellen DeGeneres.

Despite being new neighbors, the Levine Prinsloos may not stay for long.

According to reports, the couple has a habit of buying and flipping properties.

Meanwhile, some tabloids have branded the ex-royals as “neighbors from hell.”

Reports suggest that paparazzi have been swarming the neighborhood to snap photos of the couple, while helicopters fly overhead to get aerial shots.

Locals have also complained about tourists and fans swarming the area.

Moreover, Markle and have been accused of being cold and unfriendly to their neighbors.

According to a supposed neighbor, the couple keeps to themselves and doesn't make eye contact with anyone when they take their dogs for a walk.

The negative press has affected property values in the area, with some wealthy neighbors reportedly selling their mansions to get away from the royals.

Billionaire Peter Sperling and Parks and Recreation's Rob Lowe have both sold their mansions since the couple moved into town.

Experts insist that property values are going down in the Sunshine State, with neighbors eager to move out of the area.

Some insiders have criticized the Sussexes for their behavior, claiming that they are looking tacky instead of classy.

The negative attention has created a black mark for the couple, with even wealthy people, who normally fawn over royalty, allegedly wanting to move out of their neighborhood.

In conclusion, the Harkles have a new neighbor in Montecito, but it remains to be seen if the Levine Prinsloos will stay for long.

While the ex-royals have been accused of being bad neighbors, their mansion still remains an impressive residence, boasting luxurious amenities and stunning ocean and mountain views.
