According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, has been approached to take over Prince Andrew's role in the Grenadier Guards.

Prince Andrew was stripped of all his military affiliations and royal patronages earlier this month.

The Sunday Times reported that Catherine is wanted by the Grenadier Guards, and Royal expert Neil Sean claimed that Catherine had a lengthy chat with Beatrice and Eugenie about the role.

Sean added that Catherine was mulling it over and had reached out to someone very close to Prince Andrew because it appears that the world is kicking him while he's down.

Catherine doesn't want to be seen hurting anyone's feelings and had a lengthy chat with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to ask for their thoughts.

If she takes on the role, she will be making history and has the support of Prince William.

Catherine may wear a military uniform if she takes on the role, according to Us Weekly correspondents Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross.

They have gone as far as to request it unofficially.

The role is more ceremonial than military, and we might see her in a military uniform, which we have seen from other members of the royal family, like Princess Anne and Prince William.
