Duchess Kate Stuns in Red Coat Dress at Christmas Carol Service
Duchess Catherine Middleton and Prince William attended a Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday, December 8th.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a beautiful red coat dress by Catherine Walker, featuring a bow detailing on the front and a midi skirt.
She paired the dress with matching velvet heels, while Prince William matched her outfit wearing a suit with a red tie.
The Duchess completed her look with her sapphire engagement ring and matching dangling earrings, which belong to the Queen.
Royal watchers have taken to social media to admire the couple, with one user saying, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are a big-time power couple with real influence and prestige.”
In contrast, Meghan Markle faced criticism over her ill-fitting red dress at the Museum Gala appearance.
Trending:
Meghan wore a red dress by Caroline O'Hara at an event honouring veterans ahead of Veterans Day at the Intrepid Museum in New York City.
She was mocked on social media for her bright red ensemble.
Users took to Twitter to express their opinions on the dress, with one tweeting, “Does Meghan Markle from Mexit think she is going to a gala dinner?
Did someone forget to whisper in her ear that it was a military awards evening?
She is too fat for the dress and it doesn't fit her body shape.”
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge sent royal fans into a frenzy as she treated them to her reunion with Mila, a subject of one of the photos featured in the royals' Hold Still book.
Catherine reunited with five-year-old Mila as she joined emergency respondents for a special tribute concert at Westminster Abbey.
Footage shared on social media showed the Duchess crouching down to greet Mila as she approached.
The young girl then proceeded to show off her sparkly black dress to the royal.
The duo could be seen chatting as Kate patted the young girl on the arm in greeting.
Prince William could be seen looking at the pair before moving away to greet other attendees.
The interaction drew the admiration of royal fans, who praised the Duchess for her kindness she always shows to young fans whenever she is on an outing.
One user wrote on Twitter, “Omg did she give her a little curtsy at the end?
She is the sweetest little thing.”
In a moving address to concert guests, Kate noted how the pandemic had shown everyone the importance of simply being together.
The Duchess said, “We have lost loved ones, seen our frontline workers placed under immeasurable pressure, and we have experienced heart-wrenching isolation from those we hold most dear.”
She added, “Alongside this, we have seen how communities have come together to support those most in need.
And through our separation from others, we have been reminded just how powerful human connection is to us all.
Just how much we need one another.
And how loving and feeling a sense of belonging to one another can provide comfort in tough times.”
Overall, it was a beautiful event where the Duchess of Cambridge stole the show with her stunning red coat dress and her kind-hearted interaction with young fans.
