Duchess of Cambridge personally teaches children royal etiquette, says expert

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's three children, VIII, VII and IV, are known for their playful nature, but they also have impeccable manners, thanks to their mother's personal efforts in teaching them royal etiquette.

According to etiquette expert Maya Maier, the children are not undergoing any formal etiquette training, but instead rely on their parents to teach them how to behave appropriately as royals.

Speaking to US Weekly, Ms Maier praised the Duchess of Cambridge for doing a wonderful job of teaching her children, despite ' jubilee antics.

She added that the children are showing respect on their royal visits and seem to be taking well to life in the spotlight.

Ms Maier also noted that the children do not seem to be under any pressure to be something they are not, which is helping them acclimatise to their extraordinary lives.

Ms Maier said, “‘The Duchess of Cambridge is actually teaching them herself, so kind of how it works internally, as they are preparing to go and meet someone or get off a plane.

The expert went on to say, “‘And what I love is that it does not seem like there is any pressure to be something they are not.

These are just beautiful little children and they are showing respect and doing it in the best way the Duchess and the Duke know how to teach them.'”

Ms Maier also shared an incident where the children were spotted by a neighbour near their home, showing strangers how polite they were.

“‘The three children walking down Kensington High Street, which is right next to the Palace.

My neighbour was in a rush and she came through, and all three children moved to the side, stood in a line, and nodded as she came through,' she said, adding that the neighbour was impressed with their respectful nature.

The expert's comments came just about a month after Prince Louis made headlines around the world for his behaviour during the Queen's Jubilee.

Despite having to curb some of Prince Louis's enthusiastic waving, the three children greeted the crowds politely and paid their respects to soldiers, old and current, as they passed them in the procession.

and Princess Charlotte accompanied their parents on several outings, including a visit to Wales and the Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace on June 3.

On the Sunday, they were joined by four-year-old brother Prince Louis, who stole hearts with his antics.

The Duchess of Cambridge was repeatedly forced to intervene to distract her youngest son with , ultimately asking to have the boy sit on his knee.

The Prince of Wales entertained Louis by discussing the highlights of the People's Parade that marched outside Buckingham Palace to conclude the Jubilee celebrations.

The children also joined their parents, grandparents and great-grandmother the Queen on the Palace's balcony, a gesture interpreted by many as Her Majesty's nod of approval to the next generation of Royals.

Overall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children are showing maturity beyond their years, and their mother's personal efforts in teaching them royal etiquette seem to be paying off.
