Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Embark on Three-Day Tour Across Great Britain

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Kate, were seen looking loved up as they embarked on their three-day tour across Great Britain.

The couple were spotted cosying up before departing from Euston Station to begin their whirlwind tour across England, Wales and Scotland.

In a video filmed just before the couple were heading on the Royal Train, was seen caressing Kate's back in a rare show of affection.

The Duke and Duchess were also seen thanking and saying goodbye to members of staff at the station before boarding the train.

The couple rarely show affection to one another in public, following the example of the Queen and Prince Philip.

Body language expert Robin Comodey previously commented on the rare affections of Kate and William, stating that the monarch's behaviour has set an unwritten precedent for other royals.

Despite not showing off their love in public too often, Mr Comodey said that the gestures and behaviour Kate and William have with one another clearly show they are emotionally close.

He continued, “It is very clear that William and Kate are emotionally close.

However, they do not seem to feel the need to prove their love, particularly when on official state business.”

Kate and William are taking part in a tour aboard the Royal Train, calling at stops in England, Wales and Scotland between 6th and 8th December.

The Duke and Duchess will undertake working visits, meeting frontline workers, volunteers, care home staff, teachers, school children and young people to hear about their experiences, sacrifices and the inspiring work they have done throughout this challenging year.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson stated that the royal couple were very much looking forward to shining a spotlight on the incredible work that has been done across the country throughout this difficult year and to show their gratitude on behalf of the nation for all those supporting their local communities ahead of the Christmas holidays.

Later on Monday, the couple arrived at Batley Community Centre in West Yorkshire to meet volunteers who have supported elderly members of the community throughout the coronavirus outbreak.

The Duke and Duchess were seen wearing masks as they spoke with volunteers and thanked them for their hard work.

The couple's tour is part of their ongoing efforts to support frontline workers and communities during the pandemic.

The Duke and Duchess have been active in promoting mental health awareness and have been working to support those affected by the pandemic through various initiatives.

As the future King and Queen consort, Prince William and Kate are likely to be careful to follow in the monarch's footsteps in the way they behave publicly.

While they do not feel the need to show their love for each other to the world, their strong and independent relationship is evident in their gestures and behaviour towards one another.
