Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Welcome Third Child: A Look at Their Body Language

The arrival of a new baby is always a special moment, but when it comes to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it's a moment that the world stops to witness.

The couple's third child, a baby boy, was born on April 23rd, 2018, and the world watched as they showed off their new bundle of joy.

However, what many people didn't notice was the couple's body language, which revealed a lot about their relationship.

According to Patti Wood, a body language expert and author of Snap, Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma, the couple acted like any new parents would, despite the hype and tension.

They were smiling, giddy, and totally smitten with one another, just like they were when they welcomed their first child nearly five years ago.

Wood noted that in the photos from the birth of their first child, Kate's feet were nearly overlapping as she stood on the stairs, indicating that she felt the need to keep it all together.

Both William and Kate had relaxed hands, but there were slight gestures like forced smiles that indicated they were a bit tense in the moment.

However, with time, the couple became more comfortable as parents and with the media attention.

When it came time for baby number three, the royal couple was ready for whatever came their way.

In a photo of the couple, they were completely present with one another, according to Wood.

This moment was 100 per cent about the new addition to their family, and not the photographers, which is a pattern we see time and time again.

Even after a hectic day in the hospital, the couple looked relaxed, calm, and a bit tired.

Susan Constantine, a human behavioural expert, noted that even in uncomfortable moments, the couple then relaxed when they locked eyes.

This moment was similar to what we've seen following the birth of their previous children.

The couple leaned toward one another, with Kate presenting the baby to William, who turned his toes and torso toward his wife.

There was no awkward car seat hassle this time, as the couple walked over to the car in unison.

Their left feet were married, which is the type of behaviour you want to see in a couple, especially after they just had a baby.

Constantine also noted that the baby and Kate were practically twins, mirroring one another's hand gestures.

This was an indicator of a strong rapport between the two.

It's clear that the couple is completely in sync and focused on their new addition to the family.

As we wait for the first sighting of and with their newborn brother, it's heartwarming to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge so in love and comfortable with each other as they navigate parenthood for the third time.

Their body language reveals a lot about their relationship, and it's clear that they are a couple who are truly meant to be together.
