Harry and Meghan Markle’s Silence on Royal Announcement Draws Criticism

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have come under fire for their silence following a dramatic royal announcement.

According to royal biographer Tom Bower, their failure to send customary congratulations or messages of loyalty to their family in London was a deliberate insult to the royal family.

Bower claims that Harry has never liked and even blames her for his mother's marriage failing, adding that their silence was surely deliberate.

It has been said by a number of people that Harry has always disliked and blamed her for wrecking his parents' marriage.

Perhaps the Sussex's deafening silence is Meghan's way of declaring war.

It is believed that she has never liked Camilla, and it seems the feelings are reciprocated.

The significance of the news, a dramatic announcement, would suggest that this praise was not without merit.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams noted that the couple did not spend the week following the announcement out of the spotlight, making the omission of a public note particularly strange.

Fitzwilliams pointed out that Harry found the time to talk movingly about his mother's work to help sufferers from HIV, but added that the couple should be given the benefit of the doubt, saying, “We must hope that they sent best wishes privately.”

Meanwhile, Harry's friend predicts that Camilla will come in for particular criticism in the memoir.

The pal, who has not been named, told sources that although tensions have eased between the two of them over the years, it was more for a show of unity than a close relationship.

They were never close with her and they still aren't.

The prince's pal added, “Just wait for the book to come out because that will shake the monarchy to the core.”

On the other hand, the Queen's decision to express her wish that Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, be known as Queen Consort has been dissected by royal experts who suggested a clever reason for the timing of the announcement.

The Daily Mirror's online features editor Zoe Forsey claimed the Queen's health may have factored into her decision to use her accession anniversary to announce her wishes for Camilla.

Forsey chatted with the newspaper's royal editor Russell Myers yesterday on their royal podcast pod Save the Queen, saying, “There was a lot of surprise around the fact that she'd used this message in her seventieth year to make this announcement.

But the more I thought about it, it then made sense of why she did use it then.

Because if she just put this statement out randomly in two years' time, I think everyone will go, oh what's wrong, why is she doing this?

Is she about to step down?

Is there a health thing we all should worry about?”

Forsey claimed the Queen may have been aware of how her Camilla announcement would be received if it was not timed for a major anniversary, adding, “I think it probably would have sent people into panic mode.

So, do you think it was perhaps to avoid that?”

Myers agreed, suggesting that the Queen may have planned how she was going to make her announcement some time ago, saying, “That is a great shout to be honest, because she has had her own health problems.

There is no better time I suppose than announcing it now.

Her age is an undeniable fact.

And so are her health issues.

So, perhaps it was planned like this all along.

If it had been a stand-alone statement, then perhaps there would have been a bigger deal made of it.”

In conclusion, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's silence on the royal announcement has raised eyebrows and drawn criticism from royal experts.

While some speculate that Meghan's dislike for Camilla may be the reason for their silence, others believe that the couple may have sent private messages of congratulations.
