Harry and Meghan’s Mansion in Montecito Robbed 9 Times: Sussex Laments Security Issues

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly called the police to their $11 million California mansion nine times since their move to the exclusive Montecito neighborhood in July 2020.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office has responded to nine alerts, including two incidents of trespassing over Christmas, when a person traveled from Ohio to the Sussexes' home.

The property's alarm system has also been triggered five times.

Calling the police nine times in just nine months seems like a lot, especially in such a posh neighborhood.

Some people wonder if the couple is making a point about British taxpayer-funded security, which they seem to feel entitled to.

However, they should have their own security funded by themselves to handle alarms being tripped.

Trending:

They had a perfectly beautiful home within the grounds of Windsor, where they were fully protected and was safe.

They could have had a lovely life with friends and family, but it wasn't good enough for her.

Former Chief Superintendent Di Davies, who led the Metropolitan Police's Royalty Protection Unit, said the couple's plans were utterly unrealistic and could have put British police at risk.

Mr. Davies said he was gobsmacked that the couple expected British taxpayers to pick up the bill, estimated at 4 million euros a year.

Donald Trump, who was then president, also made it clear the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have no US-funded Secret Service bodyguards after the couple moved to California from Canada in March 2020.

According to the source, the data obtained under freedom of information laws by the PA News Agency was released after the couple shared their security fears in their bombshell interview with .

Officers were called four times in July last year after Harry and Meghan moved to Montecito from Los Angeles, where they had been temporarily living since leaving Canada at the start of the pandemic.

The couple's friends are reported to have said the cost of the bodyguards is exorbitant.

British police officers are not licensed to carry and fire weapons in the US.

The self-importance and vanity of these two are immense.

Imagine the grandson of a US president and his wife demanding the US taxpayers pay for their round-the-clock security in an overseas billionaire's resort in, say, Monaco, because they perceive themselves to be so important and at risk.

There are also quite a few views that they are lying to complain of poverty to the royal family.

Some people believe they are being drama queens and trying to make the royal family and the British public feel sorry for them for not footing their security bill.

They have more than enough money to pay for top-notch security, and most people would be happy with a fraction of their wealth.

Some observers also mocked the couple, saying they need to stop being so mean and actually pay for some private security if they cannot cope in the big wide world.

If they stopped making such a show of themselves, then they would not attract so much attention.

They are always promoting themselves.

This is all their fault for being so awkward.

If they were really frightened, all they had to do was pitch up to events on behalf of our head of state, smile, wave, cut a ribbon and say, “Have you come far?”

And they'd have got millions of security for free, not to mention a free house to live in too, saving their millions for holiday security.

But no, they were more important than just smiling and waving and cutting ribbons.

They wanted to dabble in politics without the faff of spending decades building a reputation and standing for a democratic election.

And they wanted British taxpayers to fund security so they could spend their own cash getting the billionaire lifestyle they imagined that they, as mere millionaires, should have.

It was their choice to paddle their own canoe.

Tough luck if their paddle broke.

Their security is neither our concern nor our responsibility.

Their big mouth pack of lies with soap opera gave them the exposure they craved, and so they blew their own cover.

Now sink into obscurity.

In conclusion, Harry and Meghan have been facing security issues since their move to Montecito.

The couple has called the police nine times in just nine months, which has raised concerns about their entitlement to taxpayer-funded security.

While some people sympathize with their security concerns, others believe they are being drama queens and should pay for their own private security.

Regardless, their decision to leave the UK and pursue a high-profile lifestyle has made them targets and has put a strain on local law enforcement.
