Kate Middleton Channels Princess Diana in Red Dress at Royal Baby Debut
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, stepped out of the Lindo Wing today to introduce their second son to the world.
However, if you had a sense of royal deja vu, there's a reason for it.
Kate channeled her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, by wearing a red dress with a white Peter Pan collar.
This is similar to the outfit that Diana wore when she presented Prince Harry to the public nearly 34 years ago.
Kate's choice of dress, a red number from Jenny Packham, who designed all three of her post-birth ensembles, is undoubtedly a tribute to the new baby's maternal grandmother.
Princess Diana tragically died in a car accident in 1997, but her memory lives on through her family and now, through Kate's fashion choices.

This is not the first time that Kate has paid homage to Princess Diana through her clothing choices.
When she gave birth to Prince George in 2013, Kate wore a blue polka dot Jenny Packham dress, invoking the same print that Diana herself wore to present William to the world in 1982.
