King Charles Appoints New Royal Representatives Amidst Family Shake-Up
In the wake of a recent royal row, King Charles has made a decision regarding the royal roles of his sons Prince Harry and Prince Andrew.
Contrary to previous reports, he has not stripped them of their remaining important royal roles.
Instead, he has appointed his siblings, Prince Edward and Princess Anne, to the post.
This move comes as part of a larger shake-up within the royal family.
The King has expanded his pool of councillors of state, who fulfill constitutional duties while he is away from home or ill. As of now, Prince Edward and Princess Anne are qualified to serve as the King's representatives.
Despite previous reports suggesting that Harry and Andrew would be stripped of their roles, they have also managed to attain the status.

In a letter to the House of Lords, King Charles stated that he would be most content if his sister and brother, the Princess Royal and the Earl of Wessex, were included in the list of councillors of state.
He emphasized the need for continued efficiency of public business while he is unavailable, such as when he is undertaking official duties overseas.
Rumors had circulated that Charles was considering amending the statute to limit state councillors to working members of the royal family.
However, this has not come to pass.
Despite no longer being active members of the royal family, Harry and Andrew are still legally recognized as councillors of state in Britain.
Andrew has been removed from public life as a result of a civil action, and Harry lives 5,000 miles away in California.
In October, the House of Lords asked for a sensible amendment to the Regency Act, which would limit the councillors of state to working members of the royal family.
Vice-Count Stansgate argued that the Act needs to be modified now that Charles is the King.
During the 1970s, Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother stood in for Queen Elizabeth II while she was on official visits.
However, Queen Elizabeth II had not been abroad since 2015.
The King, Queen Consort, and Prince of Wales are all expected to embark on coronation tours of the world next year.
The appointment of new royal representatives comes amidst a larger shake-up within the royal family.
Andrew lost his royal roles in February, and Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped back from their duties as senior royals in March.
The couple currently resides in California.
The King's decision to expand his pool of councillors of state is seen as a strategic move to ensure the continued efficiency of public business.
With the coronation tours on the horizon, it is important that the royal family has trusted representatives in place to fulfill their constitutional duties.
