King Charles III’s Coronation Date Officially Set for June 3rd, 2023
After much anticipation, it has been revealed that King Charles III's coronation ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey on June 3rd, 2023.
Despite ongoing drama between the king and his youngest son, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle, the royal family has made it clear that the tradition of the crown and festivities will carry on, even without the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in attendance.
The royal family has recently been embroiled in a seemingly endless string of drama, with each scandal and fight behind the palace walls coming to light.
The latest development pits Harry and Meghan against the crown as they attempt to stall their upcoming Netflix series due to disapproval from Charles.
Hanging in the tension of the moment is not only the release of the series, which could potentially have a world-shattering view of the royal family upon airing, but also Harry's tell-all book deal reportedly worth $20 million.
More than money or achievements since stepping away from their royal duties, the reputations of the couple's children, Archie and Lilibet, are at stake.

It's rumored that Charles has been hesitant to give his grandchildren royal titles, and amid potential scandals from the release of both the Netflix series and book, the soon-to-be-official king could be holding the titles hostage.
The move could also be a result of disapproval of Harry by Charles' wife, Queen Consort Camilla.
Vanity Fair's royal correspondent Katie Nicoll said it's now down to the king over whether he gives the children their titles as a conciliatory move.
“It will be interesting to see what the king does and whether he uses that as a sort of final conciliatory move and absolutely do bring Harry and Meghan back in.
But I think so much of it comes down to a matter of trust and there is a sense that bond of trust has been broken by the couple.”
Sources close to the royals revealed that the Duke of Sussex made nasty remarks about his stepmother before his father's ascension to the throne.
The final move by the queen also pushed Prince Harry and Meghan further down the rank for control of the crown, placing them alongside a disgraced Prince Andrew.
Palace sources have shared that while the tentative date is currently set for next summer, it could change.
What is certain about the coronation ceremony is that King Charles III will perform the ceremonial duties according to customs, albeit not on as grand of a stage as the king's late mother Queen Elizabeth II had for her coronation over 70 years ago.
A picture speaks a thousand words and the latest one by the royal family carried the stamp of cancellation for upstarts Harry and Meghan.
It's the first official portrait of King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and up-and-comers William and Catherine.
The future of the monarchy doesn't include Harry.
Harry didn't like it and thought he was frozen out of the family because he wasn't in the photo.
Now, he's not the brightest bulb.
Harry was never considered important to his father or brother's future reigns.
Now that we have King Charles III, the Duke of Sussex would always be pushed down the line of succession.
It wouldn't have mattered who he married.
He was born the spare.
The image of the king, queen consort and the prince and princess of Wales is a massive middle finger to Prince Harry and Meghan.
It shows that this is the future and that Harry and Meghan have no place in the monarchy.
This will have triggered the Montecito duo but they can't do anything about it because they quit.
