Megan Markle Accused of Faking Tears at Queen’s Funeral
Megan Markle has been accused of faking her tears at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday.
According to reports, Megan was seen wiping away her tears during the ceremony.
However, an online user provided evidence that Megan faked her tears by using a tear stick, which left a smear on her gloves.
PC Lowers posted on Quora that Megan used a wax stick in a lipstick mechanism, with menthol and camphor extracts, to generate natural tears.
The warmth from the skin releases the vapours, which rise to the eye and cause real tears to form.
Megan's reply in one interview, “if she can cry, one tear, left eye, go,” suggests that she sat down during the funeral to apply the tear stick.
Trending:
People had a lot to say about Megan's tears, with Twitter users calling her a “fraud” and accusing her of shedding “crocodile tears.”
Australian television presenter and journalist for The Nine Network, Karl Stefanovic, also questioned Megan's emotional display while discussing the pictures of the former actress wiping away a tear rolling down her cheek.
He alluded that she was apparently crying, but added that there have been lots of photos around and interpretations of photos and reading into photos meanings that may or may not be true.
Tom Bauer discussed Megan Markle and Prince Harry's attendance at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, saying that the only person Megan was crying for was herself, certainly not for the Queen.
Body language expert Adrian Carter said that it's hard to tell whether or not Megan's tears were real sadness, adding that the former Suits actress certainly knew that an emotional response like that would be spotted and photographed.
Carter added that Megan's face in the photo didn't show much muscle movement, which she claimed would be activated with genuine emotional expressions.
This comment might have been the first step in casting doubt on Megan's tearful performance, but the nail was hammered into the coffin when an old video clip of Markle bragging about her ability to cry on cue resurfaced.
In the video clip, it looks like Megan is being interviewed about her career as an actress, someone off camera asks her if she can make herself cry, to which she responds that she can actually do it really well.
Furthermore, Jeremy Clarkson also doubts Megan's funeral tears were real.
He asked, “why would you cry over someone who fronted an organisation that you despise?”
The presenter added that actors can cry on demand, and he very much doubted those tears were real, because why would Megan cry at the funeral of someone who fronted an organisation that she obviously despises?
In conclusion, Megan Markle's tears at the Queen's funeral have been called into question with accusations that she faked them using a tear stick.
People on social media and experts in body language have cast doubt on her emotional display, and an old video clip of Megan bragging about her ability to cry on cue has resurfaced.
While the truth behind Megan's tears remains unclear, it's clear that many people are skeptical of her emotional display at the funeral.
