Megan Removed from BAFTA Gala 2023 List as CEO Reacts to Netflix Controversy
With the EE BAFTA Film Awards just three months away, new details of BAFTA's plans for the production and revitalized format of the BBC One and Worldwide Broadcast have been released.
However, the news that has caught everyone's attention is that Megan Markle has been removed from the list to attend the BAFTA Gala in 2023.
According to sources, the BAFTA CEO was freaked out by Netflix's negative effect on the royal family and decided to blacklist Megan.
It is expected that Princess Catherine and Prince William will continue to attend the event, but Megan and Harry seem to be completely ostracized from Hollywood.
The cause of this may come from Megan and Harry using Netflix documentaries to smear the royal family and attack their siblings, which is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Sussex is too petty to have the honour to participate in the event.

Interestingly, the regal pop star seems to be a big fan of the royal family, according to actor Mary Louise Parker.
She and Jennifer Lopez were among the celebs mingling at the 2011 BAFTA Gala when Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the event.
However, Parker was unable to greet the couple as she was shoved out of the way by Jennifer Lopez.
JLo also tweeted about her encounter with the Duke and Duchess, calling them simply charming.
Meanwhile, Rebel Wilson made a shocking jibe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey as she hosted the BAFTA Film Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The Australian actress said the special had everything from drama to fantasy, but was unfortunately not nominated in the Outstanding British Film category at this year's BAFTAs.
Later in the ceremony, the outspoken star aimed at Prince Andrew and his infamous Pizza Express reference during his 2019 Newsnight interview.
Harry and Meghan's interview was broadcast a year after they announced they were stepping down as working members of the Royal Family in January 2020.
The couple discussed their courtship and wedding, the gender of their daughter, Little Loubet, who was born in June last year, Meghan's thoughts to end her own life, and their feelings of emotional and financial abandonment by the Royal Family.
Meghan also said comments had been made privately to Harry by someone within the Royal Family in relation to the tone of their then-unborn son, Archie.
They also spoke of a royal title for Archie, the couple's personal security, and Harry's estrangement from his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William, as well as Meghan's relationship with her estranged family.
Jane Millichap, CEO of BAFTA, said, “The EE BAFTA Film Awards are an annual showcase to celebrate the extraordinary skills, talents, and craft of the film industry.
We know the transformative impact that the winning of a BAFTA can have, not only for the names in the gold envelope, but for all the people watching at home who we hope will be inspired to become the filmmakers of the future.”
The changes that BAFTA is introducing to the BBC One broadcast of the awards will ensure that audiences will have the best seats in the house.
Going live for the last awards of the night will raise anticipation, and the backstage studio will give viewers exclusive insight into the event and talent taking part.
Voting opens tomorrow in an outstanding year for film, from British independent productions to global blockbusters.
The nominees will be revealed on the 19th of January.
In conclusion, while Princess Catherine and Prince William are expected to attend the BAFTA Gala in 2023, Megan Markle has been removed from the list due to her controversial use of Netflix documentaries to smear the royal family.
Rebel Wilson's jibe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah interview and Prince Andrew's infamous Pizza Express reference further added to the controversy surrounding the event.
The BAFTA CEO's decision to blacklist Megan may be seen as a harsh move, but it sends a clear message that unethical behaviour will not be tolerated.
