Meghan and Harry: The Fallout Continues

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been at the center of controversy since their departure from the royal family last year.

In a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan revealed that she felt suicidal as a royal and was not offered help when she asked.

She also suggested that her son Archie was not given a royal title because of his skin color, which Buckingham Palace has denied.

Harry also spoke out about feeling trapped in the same interview and made another dig at the royals last week on the US podcast Armchair Expert.

Now, the couple has found themselves in the headlines once again, this time in Australia.

During an episode of comedy show Have You Been Paying Attention?

on Monday night, comedian Tim MacDonald made a reference to popular Australian show Better Homes and Gardens when asked to name the first TV show that Meghan appeared on following the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Host Tom Gleisner quickly replied that the comment was very unkind and fellow comedian Sam Pang quipped “Family Feud.”

The correct answer was that Meghan had actually appeared on a fundraiser program called Vax Live.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex co-chaired the charity concert, which raised a staggering $382 million in donations.

Australian Nine's Today show host Karl Stefanovic also weighed in on Harry's recent interview on the Armchair Expert podcast.

Stefanovic told Harry to stop whining about his childhood, which he said was full of luxury and privilege.

He later had another go at Harry on the show, saying that he should follow his grandmother the Queen's example by just getting on with it.

“The guy doesn't need to go from his Californian mansion and start rabbiting on about how hard life is when he has got enormous privilege and to keep bagging his family.

Just get on with it.

Take a lesson out of the Queen's book and just get on with it.

Carry on.

I'm not saying anything more about that.

It's really riled me.”

However, Harry and Meghan have received some support in Australia from Today Extra host David Campbell, who said he was proudly pro-Harry for talking publicly about mental health.

He also defended Harry's upbringing, saying “he can't choose this.

H is not going to go live in a block of flats in East Gardens.”

Harry was seen in a new advert this week for his upcoming US show The Me You Can't See, which he worked on with Oprah Winfrey.

In the trailer, he said “to make that decision to receive help is not a sign of weakness.

In today's world more than ever, it is a sign of strength.”

The clip also showed archive footage of Harry stood next to his father Prince Charles at his mother Princess Diana's funeral in 1997.

A voiceover then said “treating people with dignity is the first act.”

Meghan is also in the trailer, as she was seen leaning over her husband smiling while wearing a T-shirt featuring the logo raising the future.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also preparing to celebrate their third wedding anniversary tomorrow.

Despite the ongoing controversy, it seems that the couple is determined to continue using their platform to raise awareness about important issues such as mental health.

While they may face criticism and backlash along the way, it is clear that they are not afraid to speak their minds and stand up for what they believe in.
