Meghan and Harry’s Human Rights Award Sparks Controversy
The news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to receive a prestigious Human Rights Award has caused shockwaves among experts.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to be honored with a Ripple of Hope Award at a gala organized by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation.
However, some are questioning whether the ex-royal couple deserves such recognition for their defamation of the royal family.
Royal biographer Angela Levin has slammed Meghan and Harry, claiming that their charitable credentials are fantasy laced with persuasion.
She questions whether they are really up there with previous award winners.
Levin believes that the couple's alleged achievements seem more like fantasy than fact.

The Archwell Foundation, the Sussex's charity, was founded in 2020 but only began its work in earnest last year.
IRS reports evidencing Harry and Meghan's charitable work have yet to be released, more than two years after it was set up.
According to a report, the charity had told the IRS it raised less than $50,000 in 2020 and spent more on legal fees to shut down its UK predecessor, Sussex Royal, which they had launched only the year before.
No further Archwell charity filings have been published since then.
Furthermore, the couple has found it difficult to get close to A-list celebrities and receive invitations to all the right parties.
Perhaps the next best thing for them was to get on an award list where A-listers abound.
Meghan especially is giving the impression that they will stop at nothing to get to the top.
However, she should be careful as it could all crumble.
The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation has previously honored former President Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Vice President Kamala Harris, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Desmond Tutu, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Anti-Apartheid Bishop Desmond Tutu, Colin Kaepernick, and George Clooney.
However, the decision to award Meghan and Harry has been met with criticism.
Royal commentator Neil Sean has called the awards a shambles and misguided.
He believes that many people do not believe in the Sussex's words and actions.
Whoopi Goldberg is also said to be against Meghan receiving this award because it is too unsigned.
The Oscar-winning actress questioned Meghan's comments about her time on the game show Deal or No Deal.
Goldberg suggested that the objectification might be coming from Meghan herself and how she felt about how these women were being portrayed.
While there has been no official confirmation on the Sussexes' plan for the festive period, it is thought they will stay and celebrate at their home in Montecito rather than travel back to the UK.
The controversy surrounding their Human Rights Award continues to grow, with many questioning whether the couple truly deserves such recognition.
It remains to be seen how this will affect their reputation and future endeavors.
