Meghan Furious After Kate Reveals Queen’s Last Will at Christmas Concert
The British Royal Palace has confirmed that Princess Catherine will be representing the royal family as the Queen's last will is disclosed at a Christmas concert.
This news has left Meghan extremely angry, prompting her to ask Harry to return to her immediately.
Despite the tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will still take part in a royal Christmas tradition.
They will exchange presents with Prince William and Kate Middleton for their children.
The final episodes of the couple's explosive Netflix series are set to be released later this week, which will explore their decision to step away from royal duties and make a life in America.
In the first three episodes released last Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex railed against their treatment by the firm.
Trending:
Harry cited an unconscious bias of racism at the heart of the institution, while Meghan labeled William and Kate emotionless after she hugged them at their first meeting.
Harry also claimed the royals asked why Meghan should be protected from media speculation, alleging he was told it was something all royal women, including Princess Diana and Kate, have to go through.
Royal insiders have said that the King and Prince William will keep a dignified silence and will not engage in a tit-for-tat battle.
A source said that there's no desire to engage in a war of words, and the focus is entirely on getting on with the job.
Earlier, Kate Middleton's title automatically changed when Queen Elizabeth II passed away.
Following King Charles' ascension to the throne, his son Prince William became next in line for the crown and received a title change, meaning the same happened for Kate.
William and Kate's titles were updated to Prince and Princess of Wales, a title historically held by those first in line to the throne.
In fact, this title was officially granted to Prince Charles at his investiture 50 years ago, and he's the 21st man to ever hold the title.
When Charles married Diana Spencer in 1981, she automatically became Princess of Wales.
While technically the title should have passed to Camilla Parker Bowles upon her wedding to Charles, she turned it down out of respect to Diana and was instead known as the Duchess of Cornwall, now the Queen Consort.
Now that Charles has ascended the throne as King, the former Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge accepted this title in honor of Prince William's mother.
Despite the rift between the brothers, royal editor and expert Roy O'Nicker writes that the families will still exchange Christmas gifts, with the Sussexes buying presents for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and William and Kate sending parcels for Archie and Lilibet.
Writing in the Sunday Times, she says, “Believe it or not, the Waleses and the Sussexes are exchanging Christmas gifts this year.
In the absence of goodwill between the couples, William and Kate will not deprive three-year-old Archie and Lilibet, one, of a present under the tree.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has taken aim at his brother, Prince William, in the final episodes of the documentary.
A dramatic trailer released yesterday appears to show Harry accusing people of lying to protect his brother, while an image of Buckingham Palace is shown.
Despite the drama, the Sussexes are still on board with one royal tradition.
Harry and Meghan have dispatched gifts for George, Charlotte, and Louis, who are nine, seven, and four, respectively.
There'll be no presents exchanged between the adults.
Meghan's anger is palpable, and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop further.
However, it seems that the royal family is determined to keep a dignified silence and focus on their duties.
As always, the world watches with bated breath as the drama unfolds within the royal family.
