She was last spotted in the crowd in 2016, where she was seen just rows away from Kate's younger sister Pippa.

This time, both Meghan and Kate will be attending together.

Saturday's outing will also mark Kate's first time attending the tournament this year, although Pippa, her brother James, and their parents have already been spotted at matches in the past week.

When asked if the Duchess of Sussex would watch her play at this year's tournament, Serena Williams teased, “We'll see if I keep winning.”

Before the match, the duchesses will meet with former Wimbledon women champions and ball boys and girls.

This will mark the duo's first solo engagement together, though they have made a number of royal appearances together, including the Royal Foundation Forum, their first joint engagement, the Commonwealth Day services, Trooping the Colour, and the Royal Air Force Centennial just this week.

Meghan is a close friend of Serena Williams, while the entire Cambridge clan are devoted Federer fans, with both players receiving invites to Harry and Williams' weddings.

An avid tennis fan, Kate has attended almost every year since becoming a royal, is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and famously had a tennis court built at her Amner Hall home.

Meghan is no stranger to SW19 either, having attended twice during the summer of 2016 while she was secretly dating .

The championships run from June 25 to July 15 this year.

The royal appearance at Wimbledon adds to the excitement of the tournament, with fans eagerly anticipating the presence of the Duchesses in the stands.

Meghan and Kate's joint appearance is expected to draw a large crowd, and their attendance is sure to be a highlight of the tournament.

It is also worth noting that Kate has put in just a handful of public appearances since giving birth to in April and has not been seen since she watched her husband play at the polo last month.
