Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Cancel Plans to Christen Lilibet Diana in the UK

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly cancelled plans to christen their baby, Lilibet Diana, in the UK.

This decision could jeopardize her place in the line of succession.

Currently, little Lily is eighth in line to the British throne.

The decision has raised eyebrows, as Lilibet wouldn't be considered a member of the Church of England until she came to Britain and joined a Church of England congregation.

A member of the royal family does not need to be baptized to remain in the line of succession, but there is one major exception.

If a member of the royal family is baptized as a Catholic, they cannot remain in the line of succession.

A number of the Queen's cousin, the Duke of Kent's children and grandchildren, have lost their place in the line of succession by following in their mother Catherine, the Duchess of Kent's footsteps and converting to Catholicism.

However, sources have said it's more likely that Lily will be christened into the Episcopal Church of the US, which is a member church of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

And, this wouldn't take her out of the line of succession as it's not considered to be an incompatible religion with the Church of England.

Besides, the Globe also reports that the furious Queen Elizabeth has decreed royal renegade Prince Harry is booted off the line of succession, guaranteeing he and high-maintenance wife Meghan will never sit on the throne.

Queen Elizabeth and senior family members have ordered constitutional changes to prevent him from ever ruling Britain.

This was caused by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's TV betrayal which made Queen Elizabeth raging mad.

However, Queen Elizabeth does not have the power or the authority to remove Prince Harry from the line of succession, even if she wants to.

Because the rules of succession are dictated by Parliament.

One source told the outlet that Meghan, Harry, and their two-year-old son Archie are over the moon about their new life with Lily.

“‘Every day just gets happier,' the source said.

There's just so much love and gratitude, and they couldn't ask for more.

Harry, in particular, has a special relationship with his daughter,' the source said.

Harry adores Lily and loves reading her bedtime stories and rocking her to sleep.

He has a real magic touch.”

A source explained that things are a little easier for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with their second child, and they do get extra help while taking care of both Lily and Archie.

The Sussexes do have nannies to call on when their schedules get crazed, but they're still extremely hands-on and try to keep the hired help to a minimum for the most part, the source said.

It's been easier for them with Lily in many ways, even though it's twice the work, technically, because they've been able to use a lot of the techniques they learned with Archie and take care of things like feeding or bathing without too much fuss.

In related news, Paul Burrell, who worked for the Queen and Princess Diana, said that the Sussexes are wrongfully blurring the lines between royalty and celebrity after fans spotted something during their recent New York trip.

Speaking to Closer magazine regarding the Sussexes' celebrity status, Paul said, “Part of the royal fascination and popularity is that no one knows what really goes on behind closed doors.

When Harry and Meghan share a glimpse into that life, it's shocking and scandalous, and people love to hear it.

In playing on these connections, they are stabbing Harry's family in the back and deepening the rift.

I imagine Harry's book will be even more shocking than what he's said so far, as the publishers will need that.”
