Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Excluded from A-List Welcome at Star-Studded Met Gala 2023

has always thrived on attention, whether it's positive or negative.

Her diva tendencies have been confirmed in Tom Bower's book, and she and Harry believe they're pioneers in Hollywood engineering change when all they're doing is running their mouths.

However, Tinseltown isn't as big as we think it is, and words get around relatively quickly.

Private conversations cannot be had with the Sussexes without a leak from their Montecito residence.

The ex-royal couple could get snubbed at this year's Met Gala event, which is due to take place five days before King Charles' coronation on May 6.

The annual celebration of fashion, organized and presided over by Vogue's Anna Wintour, regularly attracts A-listers such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Rihanna.

However, it currently remains unclear whether and Meghan will receive an invite or not.

According to Jordan James, CEO of Unlocked PR, it's quite possible that the young couple's ongoing rift with the royal family has made them too hot to handle.

Looking ahead to next year's Met Gala, which is arguably Hollywood's most prestigious red carpet event, it currently remains to be seen whether the Sussexes will show up at this year's Met Gala, and many believe the couple will be keen to attend given the event's prestige.

However, even if the couple does receive an invite, they aren't likely to attend as they will undoubtedly face scrutiny, no matter how hard they may try to minimize fallout, especially with how close this event is to the royal coronation.

Furthermore, Harry and Meghan's absence from a string of glitzy events over the last few months suggests a shift in strategy.

Harry and Meghan's recent media adventures have divided audiences on both sides of the pond.

The couple's popularity has plummeted since their royal departure in 2020, particularly due to their continuous potshots towards the royal family.

A survey conducted last week showed that many Americans believe better represented eight human characteristics than .

Of the 15,000 Americans who participated in the survey, 43% stated that William ranked better in duty compared to 23% who voted for Harry.

The remaining 34% claimed that they did not know who favored better.

In terms of leadership, William had a 17-point lead over his younger brother, with 40% choosing the royal heir.

William also had a 6-point lead in trustworthiness, with 36% showing that William was more likely to tell the truth.

One week after the release of Harry's book, which made a number of bombshell claims about the members of his family, including a physical altercation the Duke had with his brother, , a poll stated that his popularity had decreased even further since the book's release.

Harry accompanied the release of his book with a number of interviews that further added fuel to the fire.

The poll showed a 7% decrease in his popularity since the previous poll, with 38% now stating that they dislike the 38-year-old.

In a poll conducted by YouGov, after Spare's release, 41% of Brits felt that the motivation behind the release was money, while 25% felt the motivation was for Prince Harry to tell his side of the story.

In addition, the Kate vs. feud is old news, and we'd assume that the British tabloid media had dissected it from just about every angle.

The newly unearthed shade comes to us courtesy of Meghan's now-defunct website, the TIB.

It seems that the future Duchess of Sussex was taking a feminist stance and rejecting the notion that every woman should aspire to marry Prince Charming.

We are framing this as a gotcha moment, as it contradicts Meghan's claim that she knew little and thought even less about the royal family prior to meeting Harry.

No doubt this will be present as further evidence of Meghan's royal aspirations and ongoing obsession with Kate, but if anything, it demonstrates that Meghan really was not terribly interested in the Windsor clan during her previous life as an actress.

Returning to the Met Gala, Vogue head Anna Wintour is representing the guest list as the annual fashion event approaches.

The Kardashians, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney, along with their mother Kris and stepsisters Kylie and Kendall, also may not get the invite for this year's fashion event.

It appears that the young couple's ongoing rift with the royal family has made them too hot to handle.

It certainly wouldn't come as a major surprise if they were snubbed, given their current status with the royal family and the ensuing drama.

However, as Jane points out, it currently remains to be seen whether the Sussexes will show up at this year's Met Gala, and many believe the couple will be keen to attend given the event's prestige.
