Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Have Become Irrelevant in the Eyes of the UK
Former press spokesman and Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter has recently expressed his views on the Royal Family's foray into television.
According to him, the UK public is more interested in other members of the Royals than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been involved in several television projects over the past year, including a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry's participation in an Apple TV Plus series called The Me You Can't See.
However, in comparison to the UK television work that senior members of the Royal Family have been doing, their projects seem to be less popular among the UK public.
For instance, Prince William recently voiced a BBC documentary about climate change, and Prince Charles has curated some films for the streamer ETV.
When asked about the two approaches to television, Dickie Arbiter told the Radio Times that he'd rather not discuss Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

He added that as far as the UK is concerned, they've become irrelevant, and how they use the streaming service is entirely up to them.
Dickie also claimed that people are more interested in how the rest of the family is operating.
On the other hand, another Royal commentator, Richard Fitzwilliams, sees the couple's work in streaming platforms as a bid to get better oversight over their public image.
According to Richard, they will be looking for the same level of control they seemingly had in the Oprah Winfrey interview.
He also said that the deal with Netflix will make them a vast amount of money.
In an updated edition of his unauthorized biography, Meghan, a Hollywood princess, Andrew Morton claims that the Queen's release of an official photo showing off her heirs caused upset behind palace walls.
The photo was taken in Buckingham Palace's throne room and laid out the future of the British monarchy, as well as being a cute family photo.
However, Meghan and Harry suspected that the entire institution was conspiring against them after seeing the photo.
Morton claims that this fear was confirmed when the Queen cancelled a meeting with Harry, in which he wanted to discuss his royal future.
Harry suspected classic internal politics, his family concerned that anything the Queen agreed during informal conversations would be used by Harry as a negotiating tactic.
Just days later, on January 8, Meghan and Harry shocked the world by sharing a status on social media saying they were stepping back from their senior roles.
Saying they had spent many months reflecting over the decision, they explained they planned to carve out a progressive new role within the institution while becoming financially independent.
In conclusion, the UK public seems to be more interested in other members of the Royal Family than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The couple's work in streaming platforms is seen as a way to gain better control over their public image, while their relevance in the UK seems to have dwindled.
On the other hand, the release of an official photo by the Queen caused upset behind palace walls, leading to Meghan and Harry's decision to step back from their senior roles.
