Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Living Arrangements Revealed
In a shocking new book, it has been revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had their sights set on living in a suite of apartments at Windsor Castle after their marriage, but were instead given Frogmore Cottage.
According to royal analyst Katie Nicholl, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had hoped for a particular set of apartments at Windsor Castle, but this was not it.
The Queen offered Harry and Meghan Frogmore Cottage as their new residence when they declared their intention to leave Kensington Palace.
Although she passed away in 2020, Lady Elizabeth Anson remembered it as a kind act.
The late Queen's close friend Lady Elizabeth Anson noted at the time that the cottage was a major affair.
Their cottage is very adjacent to the Queen's entrance to the gardens.

By giving Harry and Meghan the Frogmore Cottage, she was ceding her privacy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been making headlines for years, and their decision to watch the Boston Red Sox play the New York Yankees at the London Stadium was particularly significant.
According to Nicholl, this marked the end of Harry and William's double act and was very sad for the Queen.
Nicholl also reveals that the late Queen was taken aback that divorcee Meghan chose a white wedding gown and reprimanded the Duchess for criticizing a cook who was making her a special dinner.
The Queen had concerns about the stark white of Meghan Markle's Givenchy gown, which was created by Claire Waite Keller, but Nicholl notes that the wedding day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was a fantastic success.
The Queen was astonished when Meghan wore nothing but white on her wedding day, a source said.
She holds the opinion that if you've been married before, you should wear off white on your wedding day, just like the Duchess of Cornwall did.
This may be a generational thing.
The Queen, however, made an effort to get to know the new Duchess, since she was eager to encourage anyone getting married into her family.
Meghan's straightforward approach had even caught the Queen's attention, she continued.
One insider claims that during a visit to Windsor Castle for a menu sampling during the engagement period, Meghan got into a heated argument with a staff member.
Meghan told one of the caterers she could taste egg while she was at the castle tasting some of the food, the insider claimed.
When the Queen unexpectedly entered, she stated she was pretty furious, explaining that the food was meant to be vegan and macrobiotic.
This family doesn't speak to people like that, Meghan.
In other news, Prince William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, reportedly want to deepen the trust and respect of the people of Wales over time.
As they made their first official trip to Wales since King Charles III named his son Prince of Wales, Kate and Prince William were beaming the entire time.
The Prince and Princess of Wales' first residence after being married was Anglesey, where the important journey started.
There, Kate and William visited the RNLI Holyhead lifeboat station and spoke with volunteers, crew members, and some of the local unit's beneficiaries.
The Prince and Princess' visit to Holyhead, one of the three oldest lifeboat stations on the Welsh coast, undoubtedly brought to mind a very meaningful engagement they had more than 10 years prior.
Following their engagement at the RNLI station today, Kate and William met with local business owners and association officials during a trip to the Holyhead Marine and Café Bar.
Kate wore a stylish black pullover and matching black pants for her trip back to Anglesey, accessorising with black shoes and a tiny handbag.
She wore an unbuttoned crimson coat with large golden buttons to add colour to her attire.
Prince William, on the other hand, wore a white button-up shirt with a blue suit and tie.
As the period of royal sorrow came to an end today at 8 am, the Walleys' attire had colourful accents.
As a result, working members of the firm are required to resume regular schedules, are no longer required to wear black, and are permitted to fly their flags at half-mast from their homes.
The Prince and Princess will visit Swansea later on in the day as part of their visit to Wales.
They will go to St Thomas Church there, which is a significant resource for the neighbourhood.
This renovated church offers a variety of services, including a food bank that provides meals to more than 200 people each week, a baby bank that supports at-risk mothers by providing necessities for their children, and a place that is accessible to those who are homeless and where they can find food and use the showers and toilets.
Following Prince William's appointment as the next Prince of Wales on September 9, King Charles announced their engagement today.
It is understood that the new Prince and Princess of Wales are now concentrating on gradually increasing the trust and respect of the people of Wales.
They are scheduled to return to the country before Christmas with this objective in mind.
The last time Kate and William visited Wales was in June when they took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Cardiff Castle as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee festivities.
