Meghan Markle Channels Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s Iconic Style

Meghan Markle has been taking fashion inspiration from the late Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the wife of John F. Kennedy Jr. On Friday, the actress was spotted wearing a full-length camel skirt by British brand Joseph for her first official engagement with Prince Harry.

She paired it with a classic black polo top and knee-high boots, similar to what Carolyn wore when leaving her Tribeca apartment with her husband in 1996.

This is not the first time that Meghan has seemingly taken inspiration from Carolyn's wardrobe.

The suit star echoed one of her previous outfits with an oversized white shirt and jeans combination for another high-profile appearance with Harry at the Invictus Games.

She also wore a black dress featuring a very similar neckline to one donned by Carolyn.

Meghan has previously revealed that her all-time favorite celebrity wedding dress is Carolyn's minimalist white gown worn on her wedding day in 1996.

The classic dress was designed by American designer Narcisa Rodriguez, who was little known at the time, suggesting he could potentially be in the running to design Meghan's own gown.

Speaking to Glamour before she emerged as Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan called Carolyn's wedding dress her everything goals, describing it as classic and simple.

She added that perhaps with a modern twist, this would be the name of the game for her own wedding dress.

Meghan also listed some of her favorite wedding dress labels, including French designer Delphini Manavet and Greek-based designer Christos Costarellos.

It is clear that Meghan has a keen eye for fashion and is not afraid to take inspiration from those who have come before her.

Her style is often described as chic and timeless, much like Carolyn's.
