Meghan Markle Faces Criticism over Political Plea for Paid Parental Leave

, the Duchess of Sussex, has been under serious depression after facing backlash for writing a letter to Congress about paid parental leave.

The letter was signed by both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which has sparked criticism as the Royal Family is famously apolitical and tends not to get involved in such matters.

Political reporter and host at Sky News Australia, Annelise Nielsen, spoke about the Duke and Duchess' letter, stating that it's hard to understand just how extraordinary this letter is.

She highlighted that Meghan used their royal title, saying it's from the office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, going through centuries of different royal protocol.

Royal commentator Angela Mollard also spoke about the letter, stating that Meghan talks about being overwhelmed and overjoyed when was born, but then she goes on to make the point that many families aren't as lucky as her in terms of support.

However, she believes that Meghan went wrong by writing a 1000-word letter, saying that nobody needs to write a letter that long when you're trying to make a point.

Meanwhile, in the US, Republican Jason Smith suggests that Meghan and should be stripped of their royal titles for her interference in US politics.

He slammed the American-born former Suits actor in a statement provided to ITK on Friday, saying that her latest interference in US politics reignites the question in his mind as to why the royal family does not simply strip her and Harry officially of their titles, particularly since she insists on sending this under the pretense of being the Duchess of Sussex.

President Tom Bauer, who is currently writing a biography of the Duchess, wrote in The Sun earlier this year that running for president is surely the next step for Meghan.

He notes that Meghan's thin skin to criticism, likely referring to her response to critical press coverage.

He said that although her political rhetoric is skeletal and her skin is thin to criticism, surely that is the next step on her crusade for goodness.

Criticism is an inherent part of politics, with politicians throwing dirt at each other, and with the public willing to castigate politicians for any decision they disagree with.

Sometimes this criticism lurches into abuse, too, with analysis from Amnesty International showing that women and ethnic minorities often face the brunt of this.

Mr. Bauer wrote that to get that prize will require a lot of learning, endless travel, and an iron constitution to survive exhausting political meetings and defeat the critics.

Meghan certainly has the guts and self-belief to fight to the top of the greasy pole.

The question is whether she has the stamina.

When asked about the possibility of Meghan running for president in 2024, Donald Trump said he hopes it happens.

He said that if that happened, he thinks he would have an even stronger feeling toward running.

He also added that he is not a fan of Meghan.

One Twitter user referred to the American War of Independence, stating that it's the first time an English royal title has been used to lobby politicians in a republic that won its independence from the crown by violent revolution in 1776.

The US franchise of British royalty is clearly out of control, and now it's time for diplomats from both countries to intervene.

Overall, has faced criticism for her recent political plea, with many questioning her use of her royal title and involvement in US politics.

While some believe that running for president is the next step for her, others question whether she has the stamina to withstand the rigors of politics.

Regardless, it's clear that Meghan's actions have sparked controversy and raised questions about the role of the Royal Family in politics.
