Meghan Markle: Is the Duchess of Sussex Pregnant?
It's been just over two months since Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, married Prince Harry in a stunning ceremony that was watched by millions around the world.
However, rumours have been swirling for weeks that the newlyweds may be expecting their first child.
While there has been no official confirmation from Kensington Palace, some recent events have fuelled speculation.
Last month, bookmakers gave Meghan and Harry a 4-6 chance of announcing a pregnancy in 2018.
However, Meghan may have given subtle hints on the matter during a recent trip to Dublin.
At a summer party at Glensarne House, the former actress raised a glass of champagne for a toast and held it to her lips.
Trending:
While a sip or two of alcohol is not deemed harmful to pregnant women, many choose to avoid it altogether due to the risk of fetal alcohol syndrome.
Therefore, Meghan's decision to drink champagne could be seen as a sign that she is not expecting.
Furthermore, Meghan has been spotted wearing a series of tight-fitting outfits in recent weeks, including a black Amelia Wickstead dress and a navy Dior dress.
There is no hint of a pregnancy bump in any of the photographs, leading some to believe that she is not yet pregnant.
However, a closer look at the photograph of Meghan holding the champagne glass at Glensarne House raises questions.
While she is tipping the glass towards her lips, the champagne has not yet reached them.
Therefore, it is unclear whether or not she actually drank any of it.
Last month, Meghan's father Thomas Markle hinted that the couple could reveal baby news this year.
In an exclusive interview with Good Morning Britain, he revealed that his daughter had wanted to become a mother for a long time.
“When she met Harry she spoke about how much she loves him.
There's got to be a child in them,” he said.
While he didn't think Meghan was pregnant yet, he added that he believed it would happen soon.
Based on Ladbrokes' predictions, bookmakers are giving odds of 4-6 that Meghan and Harry will announce a pregnancy this year.
What's more, the odds are 1-5 that they will welcome their first child before the end of next year.
Of course, these are just predictions and there has been no official word from the palace.
It's worth noting that Meghan is no stranger to speculation about her personal life.
Since she began dating Prince Harry, her every move has been scrutinised by the media and the public.
