Meghan Markle Likely to Wear a Tiara on Her Wedding Day
As the world anticipates the upcoming royal wedding, one of the biggest questions on everyone's mind is what Meghan Markle will wear on her big day.
While details about the dress remain a mystery, it is highly likely that Markle will follow in the footsteps of many royal brides before her and don a tiara.
According to Ella Kaye, founder of the Court Jeweler blog and royal jewelry expert, almost every royal bride who has married in Britain since the 1930s has worn a tiara on her wedding day.
As such, it is a good bet that Markle will too.
If Markle does choose to wear a tiara, she will have plenty of options to choose from, steeped deep in royal family history.
One potential choice is the Strathmore Rose Tiara, which was worn by the Queen Mother during her wedding to King George of Virgin Islands US in 1923.

The floral headpiece features rose-cut diamonds and was gifted to Queen Elizabeth's father, who then gave it to his wife.
Another option for Markle is the Spencer Tiara, which Princess Diana famously wore on her wedding day to Prince Charles in 1981.
Although the Spencer family owns the headpiece, royal expert Ingrid Seward told US Weekly that Markle can still wear it if she wishes.
“Diana was very proud of her Spencer heritage and I think Harry will like his future bride to carry this tradition on,” says Seward.
Markle could also opt for the Cartier bandeau, another tiara worn by the Queen Mother.
This modern and sleek tiara features a bandeau frame with three gem-set bracelets and is packed with diamonds.
According to Kay, the connection to the Queen Mother and the Queen would be a lovely touch.
However, Markle could also choose to buck royal tradition and create her own tiara to commemorate her wedding day.
As a fashion-forward bride who has already shown that she plays by her own rules, it wouldn't be surprising if she went this route.
While the tiara remains a mystery, it is certain that Markle will look stunning on her big day.
As for her dress, it's anyone's guess what style she will choose.
Will she follow in Kate Middleton's footsteps and opt for a long sleeve lace number?
Only time will tell.
Regardless of what Markle wears, one thing is for sure: she will be one beautiful bride come May 19.
