Meghan Markle Misled Public About Archie’s Birth, Claims New Book
In a new book, it has been claimed that Meghan Markle misled the public about the birth of her first child, Archie, in order to avoid media attention.
The book, titled Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, is set to be published on October 6th and serialized in The Times.
According to Valentine Lowe, the author of the book, Meghan and Prince Harry were engaged in a series of skirmishes with the media before Archie was born.
The couple had also recently hired a new private secretary, Sam Cohen, who reportedly found working for them to be difficult.
“Sam constantly made it plain that it was like working for a couple of teenagers,” a source told Lowe.
“They strained her to the breaking point and were impossible.

Just before Archie was born, Fiona McIlwom took over as the couple's private secretary.
At first, she reportedly embraced the role and wanted to assist Meghan in overcoming the cultural difficulties of living in the UK as an American.
However, according to Lowe, the shine did not last long.
The major issue was Archie's birth, although Meghan's extravagant baby shower in New York was also a sticking point.
Meghan was determined to avoid the humiliation of a royal birth, with reporters camped outside the hospital when Archie was due in May.
In a statement, the palace claimed that the Duchess had gone into labor, but she had actually given birth almost eight hours earlier.
Lowe claims that Meghan misled the public about Archie's birth to avoid media attention.
The book also claims that Prince Harry contemplated surprising the Queen with a visit to discuss Megxit, as he was frustrated with their lives as royals and their extended family's lack of connection.
According to Lowe, this reportedly made Harry so angry that he briefly pondered taking a direct flight from the airport to Sandringham in order to surprise the Queen.
When Queen Elizabeth II passed away, Harry and Meghan were both present and stayed until after her funeral.
The Duke wrote in a statement on his and Meghan's Archwell website, “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reunited with Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, on September 10th, as they saw floral offerings made for the Queen outside Windsor Castle.
A royal source said that William invited Harry to join him in public appearances because he thought it would be an important demonstration of unity at a very trying period for the family.
The book also claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to stand aside from their positions as senior royals was reportedly extremely hurtful to Queen Elizabeth II.
