Meghan Markle’s Alleged Encounter with Ashley Cole: The Untold Story
Before Meghan Markle's marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, the former actress was a successful Hollywood star looking to make an impact in the UK.
During her time in London, she allegedly had a conversation with British journalists about former Chelsea and England defender, Ashley Cole.
According to Katie Hind of the Mail on Sunday, Meghan showed her a photo of the ex-Arsenal defender and asked for her opinion during a chat in 2013.
Meghan apparently revealed that Cole wanted to take her on a date while she was in London, but her friends had advised her to stay away.
She also claimed that he was trying really hard to talk to her on Twitter.
However, Ashley's brother Matty Cole has since rubbished the rumours, calling them “nonsense” and insisting that his brother wouldn't have to beg Meghan Markle for a date.

He went on to say that she wasn't the kind of girl Ashley would go for anyway, and that he had never fancied her.
Ashley himself has also spoken out about his past, admitting that he has “grown up” since his younger days.
In an interview with The Telegraph in 2019, he said that he now focuses on being a great dad to his two children and spending time with his girlfriend.
He added that he no longer frequents nightclubs and can be found pushing his kids in the park instead.
Meanwhile, Meghan recently discussed her first meeting with Prince Harry in an interview with James Corden.
She revealed that they got to spend a lot of time together without any distractions, which was an amazing thing.
Prince Harry added that they went from zero to sixty in the first two months and that he knew it was something special by their second date.
It's unclear how close Meghan and Ashley actually were during their alleged encounter, but it's clear that both have moved on with their lives since then.
Meghan is now a mother and advocate for various causes, while Ashley has retired from professional football and is focused on his family life.
Regardless of the truth behind the rumours, it's interesting to consider what might have been if Meghan and Ashley had actually started dating.
Would Meghan have still ended up marrying Prince Harry and becoming a member of the royal family?
We may never know, but it's certainly fun to speculate.
