Meghan Markle’s Appearance on Ellen DeGeneres Show Sparks Controversy

Meghan Markle's recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has caused quite a stir, with many critics slamming the Duchess of Sussex for her “cringe-making” interview.

Senior royal biographer Angela Levin was particularly vocal in her criticism, suggesting that Ellen DeGeneres may have a grudge against Meghan and deliberately set out to make her look foolish.

Levin went on to question Meghan's memory, particularly in relation to the recent legal battle over Finding Freedom.

The Duchess was criticized for going into minute detail about a story from 16 years ago about her old car, while claiming to have forgotten her brief with an aide about the biography.

Levin suggested that Meghan's various personas, ranging from depressing to jolly to guru-like, made it difficult to take her seriously.

Meghan's appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show was her first TV talk show appearance since becoming a member of the British Royal Family.

It was also her first big TV appearance since she and Prince Harry gave their bombshell interview to Oprah Winfrey in March.

During her appearance on Ellen's show, Meghan related an anecdote about her many auditions when she was starting out as an actress in Los Angeles.

However, not everyone was convinced that Meghan's appearance was genuine.

Celia Walden, wife of Piers Morgan, suggested that it might have been a prank within a prank, with Ellen deliberately setting out to make Meghan look foolish for the sake of celebrity.

Whatever the truth behind Meghan's appearance on Ellen's show, it has certainly sparked controversy and divided opinion.

While some have praised Meghan for her openness and authenticity, others have accused her of attention-seeking and self-promotion.
