Meghan Markle’s Early Acting Career and Royal Life

, the Duchess of Sussex, is known for her role as Rachel Zane in the television series Suits.

However, before landing this major break, she played several guest roles in other shows, including an episode of ABC's Castle.

In Once Upon a Crime, Meghan portrayed the character of Charlotte Boyd, a serial killer princess dressed as Sleeping Beauty.

The segment was based on fairy tales, and detectives Castle and Beckett were tasked with investigating the murder of two women dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White.

Charlotte Boyd killed the pair by injecting them with drugs to stop their hearts after fearing that a secret would come out due to blackmail.

After being questioned by the detectives, the character was arrested for murder.

Fans of Castle have flocked to the comments section of the episode to voice their opinions on how different Meghan looks in the footage, with some even speculating that she had plastic surgery.

While Meghan's acting career has been successful, her life as a royal has not been without its challenges.

According to Finding Freedom authors Omid Scobie and Carol Enderand, Meghan reportedly told one of her closest friends about the harsh and sometimes terrifying realities of being a royal.

One night in October, Meghan and received a call from one of Harry's aides at Kensington Palace informing them that a tabloid was going to run a story about their relationship.

They were worried that photographers would besiege her place within 24 hours.

Meghan's experience with cameras was limited to sets and red carpets before meeting Harry, and the security was necessary to protect her privacy.

Shortly after the news broke, a photographer from an L.A.-based photo agency scaled the fence into her back garden and waited for her by her car, hoping to get a picture before she headed out to run errands.

Meghan was terrified and called the police, saying to a friend at the time, “This is how it's always going to be, isn't it?”

Despite the challenges, Meghan has also experienced moments of joy as a royal.

In 2018, the Queen invited her to accompany her on a day of royal engagements in Chester.

It was the first time the two women spent a large chunk of time together, and they were pictured laughing and joking together.

The monarch also invited Meghan to travel to the city with her on the royal train, an honour usually reserved for senior titles.

To mark the day, the Queen gave Meghan a pair of pearl and diamond drop earrings, though it is not confirmed whether the gift was given to Meghan especially for the outing or as a kind welcome to the family gesture.

Meghan's early acting career and her life as a royal have both been marked by highs and lows.

While she played several guest roles before landing her big break, her role as Rachel Zane in Suits made her a household name.

As a royal, she has faced challenges with the media and public scrutiny, but has also experienced moments of joy and kindness from the Queen.

Despite the difficulties, Meghan continues to inspire many with her resilience and determination to make a positive impact in the world.
