Meghan Markle’s Givenchy Wedding Dress: The Shocking Truth Revealed

The world was eagerly anticipating the wedding of and , and all eyes were on the bride's dress.

The Givenchy gown that Meghan wore on her big day was designed by Clare Waight Keller and was a clear white color.

However, it has now been revealed that the dress was just a mock-up.

According to a source, the dress was originally designed for , but she did not like the design and removed it from her dress collection.

This means that the dress that Meghan wore at the wedding was actually a discarded dress.

This shocking revelation has left many people disappointed, especially considering the high price tag of the dress.

Meghan's Givenchy wedding dress is currently being talked about because of its material and style.

Some people are criticizing the dress choice, claiming that it wasn't as flattering as she intended it to be.

“I'm sorry, is stunning, but 300,000 pounds for a dress that simple?

I was expecting bigger things,” commented one social media user.

Even singer Katy Perry had something to say about Markle's wedding dress, saying that it needed one more fitting and that won.

Details began emerging about this remarkable dress a few days prior to the wedding, and the hype was certainly real.

The bar was set high, and hopes were even higher.

Markle herself is a woman who stuns with her own natural beauty, and viewers were expecting a dress that was full of grace and sophistication that she exudes naturally.

But instead of finding excellence and style in an open-bone neckline, sculpted waist, three-quarter sleeves, and flowing train of this gorgeous piece, some people mocked it for its simple, traditional, and regal nature.

Social media users commented on the cut, sizing, and overall design as though they too were royal, ready to annihilate and tear down anything and everything that didn't live up to their tremendous expectations.

They even made jokes comparing it to Jennifer Lopez's dress in The Wedding Planner.

According to the royal family's website, Markle spent months working closely with Givenchy's designer to create it in exactly the fashion she wanted.

It's very old Hollywood meets the modern era, and considering Givenchy is a brand made famous by Hollywood stars like Audrey Hepburn, it certainly gave off the vibes Markle was likely hoping for.

However, the wedding dress seems to have let her down.

Even some Givenchy employees have revealed that it may only be made of cheap fabric and sewn clothes.

It could have been done on purpose because no one despised Meghan as much as they do now.

However, some people may have noticed Meg's lies.

Maybe Givenchy's CEO recognized Meghan's true nature and made her dress to match it.

Notably, fashion designer Emilia Wickstead pointed out that Markle's clear white Keller for Givenchy dress is very similar to one of her own designs, namely the Helene wedding dress.

Her dress is identical to one of our dresses, Wickstead said.

Apparently, a lot of commentators were saying it's an Emilia Wickstead dress.

And the designer may be on to something.

There's no denying that the Duchess's gown and Wickstead's design share very similar attributes.

Both are streamlined full-length dresses with a baton neckline and three-quarter sleeves.

Indeed, the Helene dress is true to Wickstead's style.

She has a penchant for a pared-down aesthetic and favors long and lean silhouettes.

It's a classic look that has made her a red carpet darling as well as a favorite of Kate Middleton.

And Meghan probably wanted to beat Kate, but she lost from the start.

The Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan summed up how powerful the simplicity of the dress actually was in her column.

“The woman, that's what the dress emphasized, not bridal whimsy, not princess tropes, not royal pomp.

The former actress, the former blogger, the former single lady now has the title of Duchess of Sussex.

But she is still Meghan.”

Notably, the late queen wasn't thrilled about the color the royal bride chose.

The late queen wanted Markle to do an off-white dress signifying her previous marriage to film producer Trevor Engelson, whom she married in 2011.
