Meghan Markle’s Mom Arrives in London for Royal Wedding Preparations
With less than 10 days to go before the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, has arrived in London to help with last-minute preparations.
GMA has learned that Ragland will be meeting Harry and Meghan's nearest and dearest while she's here, including close friend Jessica Moroney, who arrives on Monday.
Moroney, Markle's style advisor from Toronto, is helping plan the wedding.
According to GMA royal contributor Ahmed Skobie, Ragland's presence will no doubt alleviate some of the nerves that come with such a stressful and busy time.
It's also Mother's Day, so having her mother by her side is especially meaningful for Meghan.
Ragland, a 61-year-old social worker and yoga instructor from Los Angeles, will also meet Harry's relatives for the first time, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Princess Kate.

She will make history as the first mother to accompany her daughter from her overnight location in Windsor to St George's Chapel on her wedding day.
Markle's father, who is traveling to the United Kingdom from his home in Mexico, will walk his daughter down the aisle in front of an expected 600 guests.
Next week, he'll be joining Doria and Harry and Meghan at the private wedding rehearsal at Windsor Castle.
Markle has spoken publicly about her parents, both of whom came from humble beginnings.
They instilled in her the humanitarian values that drive her today.
Like Markle, Ragland will need to learn to master the royal traditions of everything from taking tea to table manners and etiquette as her daughter becomes British royalty.
This trip sees Doria thrust into the middle of the royal circle, according to Skobie.
She's staying at Kensington Palace with Harry and Meghan and has them to help guide her along the way, teach her protocol, and perfect her courtesy.
Ragland flew to Toronto to be at her daughter's side when Harry delivered an address at the closing ceremony of the 2017 Invictus Games.
Markle said in her engagement interview with Harry that the couple had spent a lot of time with Ragland.
“Her mom's amazing,” Harry added.
As the wedding draws near, excitement is building around the world.
With Meghan's mother by her side, there's no doubt that the day will be even more special for both the bride and groom.
