Meghan Markle’s Pregnancy Photos Spark Controversy Among Royal Fans

Newly surfaced photos of during her first pregnancy with have caused a stir among royal fans, with many questioning the authenticity of the images.

The black and white pictures show Meghan heavily pregnant in the couple's Frogmore cottage in Windsor, with one snap showing her looking out of a window, propping her hand on an impressive moonbump.

In the other, she's walking in the garden of her and 's Sussex estate, dressed in a dotted dress and a coat, with her hair tied up in a loose ponytail.

The snaps were seemingly taken during her first pregnancy's last semester, and immediately drew criticism from social media users who accused Meghan of faking her pregnancy.

One user commented, “No one looks like that when they're pregnant.

It's all a farce.

She looks ridiculous.

It's like a beach ball.”

Another added, “Meghan thinks all of us are stupid to believe she was pregnant post marriage to Harry.

It looks like she's hiding a balloon or football under that dress.”

Some users even went as far as to analyze the photos, with one claiming that the underside of Meghan's bump was unnaturally straight, and that the light was shining through her dress.

However, others came to Meghan's defense, pointing out that every pregnancy is different and that it's unfair to judge her based on her appearance alone.

The controversy surrounding the photos comes as and reflect on their early days as a couple in their Netflix series.

In the fourth episode, they look back on their first home at Nottingham Cottage, which Harry had lived in since 2013 before Meghan moved in four years later.

While Harry claimed he didn't know who had lived there before, royal watchers were quick to point out that the previous tenants included his brother and sister-in-law, as well as his Aunt Jane and Uncle Robert.

Despite the backlash, Meghan has always been open about her struggles during pregnancy, including experiencing a miscarriage in 2020.

In a New York Times op-ed, she wrote, “Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few.”

She also spoke about the pressure of being a new mother in the public eye, saying, “I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.”

While the authenticity of Meghan's pregnancy photos may be up for debate, there's no denying the challenges that come with being a member of the royal family.

As Meghan and Harry continue to navigate their new lives outside of the monarchy, they remain committed to using their platform to promote causes they believe in, including mental health awareness and gender equality.
