Oil tycoon's daughter, Ms. Wallace, a mother of two, knew Mr. Phillips and his sister, Zara Tindall, from their school days.

It is understood that Ms. Wallace and Mr. Phillips had become closer after spending time together following the breakup of both their marriages.

Mr. Phillips finalized his divorce from wife Autumn in June 2021, 16 months after announcing their separation.

The couple shared daughters, Savannah, 11, and Isla, 10, and continue to live on Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park Estate in Gloucestershire.

Ms. Wallace, who also split from her husband, was in the same year at Gordonstone, the respected Scottish school also attended by Prince Charles.

She was among the guests at the Royal's 2011 wedding to rugby star Mike Tindall.

Although many of the royal family's partners have attended Ascot in former years, including Princess Eugenie's now-husband, Jack Brooksbank, and Prince Harry's former girlfriend, Chelsea Davy, they have never joined the carriage procession.
