Prince Andrew Dislikes Meghan Markle: Royal Source Reveals
The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is just around the corner, and while the Queen has given her approval for the ceremony to take place at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, not every member of the royal family is a fan of the bride-to-be.
According to an exclusive source who spoke with Express UK, Meghan Markle received a cold reception from Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, at her first large family gathering.
The source revealed that while Prince Philip is said to be a fan of Meghan, Prince Andrew certainly isn't.
The royal family's Christmas celebration at Sandringham House last year was where Meghan met many members of the family for the first time.
While Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice hit it off with Meghan, and Prince Edward and his family were all fine with her, Prince Andrew stood out with his noticeable dislike of the actress.
The source said, “She had a cold reception from the Duke of York.”

However, it remains uncertain how Prince Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, would have reacted to Meghan's presence since she was away in Australia at the time.
Interestingly, Meghan and Sarah Ferguson have been said to resemble each other.
The Sandringham House event was formal, and the family had meals together downstairs before spending the evening in the saloon, according to the source.
It was also revealed that Meghan and Harry will attend a reception dedicated to women's empowerment on April 19, which marks one month until their wedding day.
Given Meghan's strong attachment to the feminist cause, the couple will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Women's Empowerment Reception at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
This comes after Prince Harry was appointed president of the newly formed youth charity, the Queen's Commonwealth Trust.
Despite the cold reception from Prince Andrew, Meghan has been warmly welcomed by other members of the royal family.
Her future grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, gave her approval for the wedding, and Prince Philip is said to be a fan of hers.
