Prince George and Princess Charlotte made an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on Saturday during the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

The two little royals stole the show as they waved to the crowd of well-wishers below.

Three-year-old Charlotte, who was making her third balcony appearance, knew just how to work the crowd, while five-year-old George watched in excitement as the Royal Air Force flew past.

Their little brother, , who is almost seven weeks old, stayed home during the festivities.

The two older siblings expertly showed their new aunt, , the ropes as they celebrated alongside their older cousin, Savannah Phillips.

In one of the most memorable moments of the event, George's older cousin hilariously covered his mouth during the fly past in an effort to try to control his excitement.

George was back to wearing his signature shorts after wearing long pants for the first time at his Uncle Harry's wedding.

On Saturday, he wore navy shorts from Amaria, one of Kate's go-to children's wear designers.

The shorts were paired with the brand's Daniels shirt, a classic short-sleeved shirt in white poplar and cotton with navy piping.

“They look very cute and having a really good time and such a lovely day and occasion,” said Amaria Arita.

During a brief moment on the balcony, swooped in to comfort after the three-year-old took a spill.

Charlotte had been looking in her Royal Air Force booklet and excitedly peeking over the balcony in anticipation of the next plane when she lost her balance and started to fall backward.

Luckily, Kate was there to steady the little princess.

She bent down to chat with the visibly shaken Charlotte before picking her up.

Charlotte went on to enjoy the rest of the fly past, excitedly clapping and following along while standing in front of Kate and next to 's great-granddaughter Savannah Phillips.

This isn't the first time Kate has calmed down her upset children during a public appearance.

When the Royal Fab Four travelled from Hamburg, Germany in July, Charlotte made a fuss and started crying on the tarmac as they went to board the plane home.

The Royal Mom again kneeled to get on Charlotte's level before scooping her up in her arms, which calmed down the crying child.

Overall, it was an exciting day for the royal family as they celebrated the Queen's official birthday with the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

The young princes and princesses stole the show with their adorable antics and cute outfits.
