The Duke of Cambridge, who is currently on an official visit to Finland, expressed his family's joy for the couple and wished them all the happiness during this exciting time.

Kensington Palace has confirmed that the day will reflect their personalities and characters and will be a moment of fun and joy.

Harry's communications secretary, Jason Knopf, said the couple wants the public to feel part of their day and is looking for ways to achieve that.

One possibility is for the prince and Ms. Markle to take a carriage ride through the streets, similar to what the Earl and Countess of Wessex did when they married in 1999.

William added that the engagement and the build-up to the wedding are fantastic processes, and the couple has many happy times ahead of them.

He wished them all the happiness and success in planning the wedding, hoping it goes really well.

Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed the exact date of the nuptials, who will be Harry's best man or Ms. Markle's bridesmaids, and how many guests will attend.

The Royal Family will pay for the wedding, including the church service, the music, the flowers, and the reception.

However, the security costs for the high-profile celebration will fall on taxpayers.

The Queen and the rest of the Royal Family are expected to attend, along with Ms. Markle's parents Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland.

William's children, and , are also expected to take on the roles of pageboy and bridesmaid.

Kensington Palace confirmed that Ms. Markle has met them on many occasions.
