Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Make First Balcony Appearance at Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and , are set to make their first balcony appearance together at Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour on Saturday.

The military parade is held in honor of 's birthday and is an annual event attended by senior members of the royal family.

This will be the first public appearance of the newlyweds since their honeymoon.

Unlike the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Harry and Meghan did not share a traditional kiss on the Buckingham Palace balcony on their wedding day after choosing Windsor as their venue, according to a royal source.

There will be huge interest in seeing the newlyweds after the magic of their wedding.

The balcony appearance is the perfect symbol of how Meghan has been welcomed into the family.

Harry attends the Trooping the Colour ceremony annually, but this will be his new wife's first appearance at the traditional parade.

There had been much speculation over whether Harry and Meghan would share a kiss outside St George's Chapel ahead of their wedding.

However, they did not follow the tradition of sharing a kiss on the Buckingham Palace balcony after the ceremony, which was started by and Diana in 1981.

and Sarah Ferguson followed suit in 1986, with Kate and William carrying on the tradition in 2011.

Harry and Meghan have not been seen in public since attending 's 70th birthday celebrations at Buckingham Palace just three days after their wedding.

They are believed to be on their honeymoon, with reports suggesting that they had chosen the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Canada as their destination.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Meghan would be conducting her first joint engagements with the Queen in Cheshire next week.

The Trooping the Colour ceremony is attended by senior members of the royal family, including Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
