Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Skip Brooklyn Beckham’s Wedding
Brooklyn Beckham, the oldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, is set to marry actress Nicola Peltz in a grand ceremony this weekend.
The wedding is expected to be the celebrity event of the year, with a host of stars in attendance, including Rocco Ricci, Madonna's son, and Nicole Ricci, a close friend of the bride.
However, one couple who won't be making an appearance is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
According to Showbiz correspondent Ross King, who spoke to stand-in host Ranveer Singh on The Lorraine Show, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be attending the wedding.
Although David and Victoria had attended Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018, the couple won't be returning the favor.
During the interview, Ranveer asked Ross about the possibility of Harry and Meghan being invited to the wedding.
Trending:
Ross replied with a firm “no,” stating that he would be very surprised if they did attend.
He went on to reveal that there was a possibility of them attending the Oscars, but charter jet issues prevented them from doing so.
Ross also pointed out that Harry and Meghan were not friends of the couple getting married but rather friends of their parents.
He joked that the guest list might depend on how many famous people Vogue magazine wanted at the wedding.
Ranveer also speculated that it might not look good for Harry and Meghan to attend a celebrity wedding so soon after missing Prince Philip's memorial service.
Piers Morgan, in his latest attack on the couple, criticized them for not attending the service, calling them “spoiled brats.”
Although it's not confirmed whether Harry and Meghan will attend the wedding, reports from the US initially suggested that they would fly from California to Florida for the big day.
However, it seems that the couple won't be making an appearance after all.
Despite the absence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the wedding is set to be a star-studded affair.
The couple is reportedly spending $3 million on the ceremony, which will take place in Palm Beach.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, a close friend of David and Victoria, has already arrived with his family.
American football legend Tom Brady and supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen are also expected to attend.
There are even rumors of a Spice Girls reunion, as Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C, and Geri Horner have all reportedly been invited.
However, the most notable absentees will undoubtedly be Harry and Meghan.
It's worth noting that the couple has faced criticism in recent months for their decision to step back from royal duties and move to California.
Their absence from Prince Philip's memorial service only added fuel to the fire, with some accusing them of disrespecting the royal family.
Whether or not they attend Brooklyn Beckham's wedding, it's clear that Harry and Meghan continue to be a topic of discussion and controversy.
As for the wedding itself, it promises to be a lavish affair, with plenty of A-list guests and no shortage of glamour and spectacle.
