Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix miniseries has been snubbed by their celebrity friends and members of the royal family, according to the Daily Mail.

Key allies such as Elton John, Vogue editor Edward Ennifull, and David Foster, who is 's surrogate dad and a music producer, have all declined to participate in the programme.

Even former US President Barack Obama and chat show queen have reportedly turned down the Sussexes.

Given the deep rift between Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes, it is unlikely that any royal talking head will appear in the series, not even Princess Eugene, the one member of the firm that the Sussexes are still on good terms with.

Despite being on good terms with the couple, Vogue editor Edward Ennifull isn't involved in the project, and Sir Elton John, a great friend of the late , is also absent despite previously defending the Sussexes.

Music producer David Foster won't be taking part in the series, and Omid Scobie, the Sussexes' cheerleader, is also not involved in the project, nor is royal biographer Tina Brown.

According to the Daily Mail, US sources have revealed that and the Obamas are wary about wading into what they regard as a family drama.

Earl Spencer, 's brother, declined to say whether he or his sisters Jane and Sarah might appear in the programme, although sources indicate that this was highly unlikely.

There are unconfirmed rumours that Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, could appear, although she's never previously spoken on camera.

and Catherine, the Princess of Wales, reportedly weren't thrilled by the first teaser for and 's Netflix series, according to US Weekly.

Catherine and William were left flummoxed when the Netflix trailer aired during their trip to Boston.

The source says of the Prince and Princess of Wales, “it's put a huge amount of strain on relationships that were already hanging by a thread.

Harry and Meghan wear their heart on their sleeve in the docuseries and blow the lid off the prejudice they experienced at the palace,” the source said.

“They were adamant about getting their side of the story out there, especially Harry.”

Still, the timing of the trailer's release didn't go unnoticed by royal observers, some of whom wondered why the drop coincided with William and Catherine's long-planned trip to the US.

“To drop it, as they have on the first or second day of the Prince and Princess of Wales trip to the US for the Earthshot Prize, shows just exactly how much they wanted to hijack that publicity,” royal expert Jonathan Saccondoti said earlier this month.

“It just shows how much they'll go to any end at all for as much publicity as possible.”

The teaser footage included a still photo from the March 2020 Commonwealth service that the Invictus Games founder and the former actress attended alongside William and Catherine, shortly after announcing their plans to step back from the royal family.

The event made headlines at the time for the seemingly chilly way the brothers interacted with each other.

Royal author Tom Bower claimed in his book Revenge that Catherine and Meghan disagreed over the hemline of Charlotte's dress as well as the fit.

They also apparently disagreed about whether the bridesmaids should wear tights at the wedding.

Bower said Catherine was tired following the birth of ahead of the wedding and was too fatigued to cope with the disagreement.

He claimed that Markle wouldn't compromise, thus making Catherine upset.
