Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s partnership with Netflix has been making headlines lately.

Following the release of Diana, the musical, was warned to cut connections with Netflix after a journalist said the streaming giant has zero standards when it came to royal inaccuracies.

Despite this warning, the couple was seen out and about with a videographer and photographer in New York City.

According to Page Six, the couple was captured as they toured the 9-11 memorial and visited the Harlem Soul Food Restaurant Melba Friday.

Pictures shared online showed Harry with a wire around his neck and tucked into his trousers, indicating that he was connected to a microphone for filming purposes.

It's worth noting that Harry and Meghan signed a lucrative deal with the streaming giant a year ago, believed to be worth around £100 million.

magazine claimed that Markle has been secretly recording clips from her life in the United States because this will be part of her upcoming project.

Initially, the clips were allegedly recorded to be used for a Netflix documentary with .

But the source said that it will also be used for a biopic centred on Markle's life alone.

The insider claimed that the people behind the biopic won't have a hard time filming their scenes because Markle has been keeping tabs on everything.

Meghan's childhood, her acting career, time inside the monarchy, and making a new home in California with her family will be the focus of the biopic.

The insider said that the footage will mostly focus on her life as a royal, as well as the struggles and bullying that she faced while she was in the United Kingdom.

The source added that Meghan has been keeping notes, mementos, and more from long before she met Harry.

However, according to New Idea, Netflix is unhappy with Prince Harry and 's performance after signing them up.

Word around town is that, despite the big game they talked at pitch meetings, Netflix isn't happy with what the Sussexes are coming up with, which might be why there hasn't been a peep about what they're working on from Netflix's publicity team, a Hollywood source apparently exclaims.

This tabloid claims that the ones who hold the purse strings aren't pleased with the illiterate one, the writer's nickname for Meghan, because it wasn't supposed to become a vanity project but it's becoming one already.

The source continues that if Meghan and Harry had this deal ripped out from under them, their finances could end up in serious trouble.

Their partnership with Netflix has not come without criticism.

Some have pointed out that the tech giant was behind the controversial drama The Crown about the royal family, which featured far from flattering depictions of some of Harry's close family members.

More recently, Diana, the musical was released on Netflix ahead of the forthcoming stage show.

Its release, however, has not gone down very well with one royal commentator, who called on Harry to stop working with Netflix.

Dan Wootten wrote in the Daily Mail earlier this month that it is the most offensive and degrading portrayal of since she died in 1997.

He accused the streaming giant of completely trashing the legacy of the Princess of Wales.

He claimed the musical is counterfactual, adding that the Queen is relentlessly let down by historical inaccuracies.

In conclusion, Prince Harry and 's partnership with Netflix has been under scrutiny lately.

While they were seen filming in New York City, rumors are spreading that Netflix is unhappy with the couple's performance.

The criticism of Netflix's portrayals of the royal family has also not gone unnoticed.
