Prince Harry Suspected Royal Family Was Turning Against Him and Meghan Markle

In a new edition of the unauthorized biography “Meghan, a Hollywood Princess,” royal author Andrew Morton claims that felt the entire institution of the Royal Family was turning against him and his wife, .

Morton alleges that Harry suspected a one-to-one meeting with the Queen was postponed because his family feared he would use informal conversations as a negotiating tactic.

Morton also claims that Harry had been ready to sit down with the Queen for a grandson-to-grandmother chat in early January, but the meeting was postponed at the last minute.

This made Harry suspicious of internal politics within the Royal Family, according to the book.

The author writes that Harry and Meghan feared the entire institution was against them.

They believed that the evidence was all around them, and the unspoken code was straightforward: the future of the monarchy was assured, with or without Meghan and Harry.

Relations between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family have been strained ever since they announced their departure as senior working royals in January 2020.

In February 2021, Harry spoke to James Corden about the matter, saying that it was stepping back rather than stepping down.

In March, Harry and Meghan's interview with aired, during which Meghan described suffering from suicidal thoughts while pregnant with their first child, .

The couple claimed that Meghan could have received better support from the institution as she struggled with her mental health.

They also alleged that a member of the royal family made racist comments about their unborn child.

Buckingham Palace responded to the interview by saying that recollections may vary, but that issues would be addressed privately.

However, next year Harry is due to publish a memoir that could contain scintillating and potentially explosive details.

It may go into detail about his relationship with older brother , which is believed to have been strained over the past few years.

The feud was reportedly sparked by William's concerns over Harry's fast-developing relationship with .

From the moment Meghan came into Harry's life, tensions flared between the Prince and William, according to last summer's biography Finding Freedom.

The book's authors, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, wrote that the phrase “this girl” immediately bothered Harry.

They said that Harry was upset that his brother would ask such a thing, interpreting it as criticism of his marriage and union with Meghan.

Speaking on the Channel 5 documentary “Kate v Meghan: Princesses at War?,” royal author Katie Nicholl said that she thinks what was meant as well-intended brotherly advice just riled Harry.

It is important to note that Morton was not given permission by the Duchess of Sussex to write the book, and he has never met her.

The new chapters of “Meghan, a Hollywood Princess” are set to be released on October 14.
