Prince Harry’s Obsession with Turning Off Lights Leaves Meghan Markle Confused
Prince Harry has revealed that he inherited a peculiar habit from his father, Prince Charles, which often leaves his wife, Meghan Markle, confused.
Speaking in a 2018 BBC documentary called Prince, Son and Heir, Charles at 70, the Duke of Sussex said that he is obsessed with turning off the lights, a habit picked up from his environmentally conscious father.
“He's a stickler for turning lights off,” Harry said, referring to Prince Charles.
“And that's now something that I'm obsessed with as well, which is insane because actually, my wife goes well, why turn the lights off?
You know it's dark.”
However, Harry believes that this small habit change can make a big difference.
Trending:
“We only need one light, we don't need like six, and all of a sudden, it becomes a habit and those small habit changes he's making, every single person can do.
And I think that's one of the key lessons certainly that I felt that he taught us,” he said.
Prince William also admitted that he shares the same obsession with turning off the lights.
“I know I've got serious OCD on light switches now which is terrible,” the Duke of Cambridge said.
In addition to their obsession with turning off lights, the brothers have also inherited another habit from Prince Charles – picking up litter.
Harry revealed that he was even mocked for it in school.
“I used to get taken the mickey out of at school for just picking up rubbish,” he said.
“When you go for walks anywhere, if you see something, it stands out, you pick it up.
It's like I've literally done this because I'm programmed to do it, because my father did it.
Actually, we should all be doing it.”
Meanwhile, experts believe that Prince Harry is struggling with his new life away from the royal family.
Royal commentator Neil Sean stated in his YouTube channel that the Duke of Sussex looks deeply unhappy and misses his old life.
“It's obvious he misses this life and this is a stark reminder of what he has walked away from, and I would say he knows it,” Sean said.
Despite his previous claims of feeling trapped in his old life, Sean believes that Harry rushed back to grab the limelight and is now facing a life of injunctions, press attacks, and failed TV deals.
“No matter what he said about being trapped in this life, he sure made snappy he rushed back to grab the limelight and that truly was the feeling within the royal circle today,” Sean added.
In conclusion, Prince Harry's obsession with turning off lights and picking up litter are just some of the habits he inherited from his father, Prince Charles.
While these habits may seem peculiar to some, Harry believes that they can make a big difference in the fight against climate change.
However, it seems that the Duke of Sussex is still struggling to come to terms with his new life away from the royal family.
