Prince Philip Mourns Personal Loss as He Battles Infection in Hospital
Prince Philip, the 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth, is facing a double heartache as he mourns a personal loss while battling an infection in the hospital.
It has been revealed that on the day Philip was admitted to King Edward VII's hospital in London, his friend and former royal page passed away.
According to royal commentator and expert Robert Jobson, the Duke of Edinburgh suffered the loss of his royal page and friend on the day he was taken to hospital nearly two weeks ago.
Speaking on True Royalty TV, Mr Jobson said the loss is likely to be felt deeply by Prince Philip because his royal page is someone he probably saw every day.
“The other day when Prince Philip went into hospital, his royal page, who was with him for many years, died on the day the Duke went in,” Mr Jobson said.
“That is sad news for the Duke as well.

A lot of his friends have passed away, a lot of his staff have passed away.”
Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter added that Prince Philip will be eagerly awaiting his chance to leave the hospital and go home.
“He doesn't like a fuss, he has never done, and the sooner he gets home the better for him,” Arbiter said.
Queen Elizabeth's husband was admitted to hospital on 16 February as a precautionary measure after feeling unwell.
After 14 days there, he was transferred to St Bartholomew's Hospital across London due to concerns over a pre-existing heart condition.
In a statement on Monday morning, Buckingham Palace said, “The Duke of Edinburgh is today transferred from King Edward VII Hospital to St Bartholomew's Hospital where doctors will continue to treat him for an infection as well as undertake testing and observation for a pre-existing heart condition.
The Duke remains comfortable and is responding to treatment but is expected to remain in hospital until at least the end of the week.”
Rumours started circulating that Philip was on the move after pictures emerged of a patient being removed from the hospital by ambulance under the protection of umbrellas to screen the identity.
