Princess Anne’s Legendary Work Ethic Shocks Fans During Whirlwind Trip
Princess Anne, the 71-year-old Princess Royal, has once again amazed fans with her legendary work ethic during a swift three-day trip to Australia and Papua New Guinea.
The trip was in commemoration of her mother's historic platinum jubilee and the anniversary of her father's death on April 9th.
Last year, she was declared the hardest-working royal and continues to live up to that title, especially as her 95-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth II, is increasingly pulling out of engagements due to ailing health.
During the whirlwind trip, Princess Anne travelled almost 25,000 miles on commercial airlines in less than a week, packed in more than 20 engagements over four days without a single evening off, and even led the way staying in £185-a-night hotels.
She did her own hair, make-up and even packed her own suitcase, alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, and security detail.
Famously direct, Anne has always been the child most like her parents, getting stuck in with minimal fuss.

Anne's trip started last Thursday, after a full day of engagements in Liverpool, where she travelled by helicopter back to London, then boarded a commercial flight to Sydney at Heathrow.
Despite her trips being less publicised than other senior roles, she had no dresses, tour organisers or personal aides.

Her day still wasn't done as she also had a dinner with the prime minister and representatives from across the country's government.
On Tuesday, her last day, saw the princess royal thunder through eight official engagements, including a visit to an all-girls boarding school and the country's first cardiac diagnostic centre, as well as meeting with village elders in Hano Baba and undertaking a tour of the Bumana War Cemetery to lay a wreath on behalf of the Queen in honour of the 3,824 Commonwealth soldiers buried there.
