Princess Beatrice and Catherine Prove Meghan Markle Wrong About Royal Dress Code

It seems like was wrong about the royals' dress code.

This was made evident after Catherine and 's outfits on Christmas day.

's wife claimed that they could not dress in a similar colour to the senior members of the royal family, but this wasn't the case when and the Princess of Wales attended the royal family's traditional Christmas morning service on Sunday.

In one episode of Harry and Meghan, the Duchess claimed that the family members should never be wearing the same colour as one of the other more senior royals.

However, the claim was debunked by the older Princess of York and the Princess of Wales on Christmas day.

's wife donned a dark green Alexander McQueen coat with flat pockets on the bodice, a pleat skirt and an inset waistband.

Trending:

Princess Beatrice walked behind her wearing a dark green coat.

She rocked a shrimp's coat with a belt at the waist and a fur collar.

Aside from the Duke of Cambridge's wife and cousin, many noticed that more family members sported similar colours.

Queen opted for a dark blue coat.

Prince Edward and Sophie Countess of Wessex's daughter, Lady Louise opted for the same shade of blue.

During Catherine's Christmas Carol concert earlier this month at Westminster Abbey, when Harry and Meghan Vol.

2 debuted, many also noticed that the future Queen Consort, and Zara Tindall all wore burgundy.

Many even took the move as a swipe at Markle.

“Was the Great Royal Burgundy Parade a cheeky swipe at Meghan?”

asked a headline from the Daily Mail.

Another headline from the Guardian echoed the same sentiment.

“The sea of burgundy at Westminster Abbey was a not-so-subtle rebuke to Meghan.”

In the documentary, 's wife spoke about the royal family's fashion rule.

She claimed that they couldn't wear the same colours.

“To my understanding, you can't ever wear the same colours as her majesty if there's a group event.

But then you should also never be wearing the same colour as one of the more senior members of the family.”

However, many noticed that it just wasn't true.

An insider pointed out that Middleton had been seen wearing the same colour as the Queen on several occasions.

Markle also claimed that she didn't wear bright colours to blend in with the family and avoid standing out or embarrassing them.

However, some royal fans debunked her allegation by sharing photos of her wearing colourful outfits when she was still a working royal.

After and Prince Harry debuted their Netflix docuseries, royal expert Arthur Edwards believes that was the wrong move.

“I looked on at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham as he led his family to the traditional December 25th morning service,” he said, referring to the royal family's Christmas outing.

“Charles even allowed his disgraced brother Andrew to join the family on the walk to church.

But glaring in their absence were Harry and Meghan.

Their continuing criticism of the institution in the Netflix documentary has backfired.

They're missing out on way more than they're gaining,” Edwards said.

Later, when Charles made his first King's Speech to the nation, William and Catherine were name-checked, and the Sussexes were again omitted.
