Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie Devastated After Father Stripped of Royal Status
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are said to be devastated after their father, Prince Andrew, was stripped of his official status by the Queen.
Despite not being working members of the royal family, the sisters were expected to take on more royal duties after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the monarchy in 2020 and Prince Philip passed away last year.
However, such a step up is now impossible after their father, who faces a civil s** case trial, was stripped of his military affiliations and royal patronages.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, the Yorks are a close-knit family and this will be devastating for them.
The royal roles of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie would now be impossible to expand further, he said.
The princesses were raised by their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as private citizens and both have careers outside the firm.

Although they are regular attendees at royal events, they do not conduct official duties.
Princess Eugenie studied English literature and history of art and received a 2.1 in her degree in 2012.
In 2015, she was an associate director working for Hawes & Worth Art Gallery before being promoted to director in 2017.
Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice worked full-time and assumed the role of Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy in 2017 at software company Affinity after graduating from Goldsmiths College in 2011.
The Duke of York's status as a member of the royal family was left in tatters last week when the Queen decided to strip him of his honorary military roles and he gave up his HRH style.
Prince Andrew, who was born an HRH, will not use it in any official capacity, a royal source said, and the Duke has also been stripped of his remaining royal patronages.
The decision represents the Duke's complete removal from official royal life and an attempt to distance the monarchy from Andrew.
While his daughters are no way implicated in the allegations against their father, it is possible that Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and Beatrice could be called on to give evidence on the civil case in the US.
Keeping Beatrice and Eugenie out of the spotlight until matters are solved will be in the palace's interest as damage limitation, Mr Fitzwilliam said.
Despite not being full-time working royals, the sisters have still made appearances at big royal events.
Most recently, both Beatrice and Eugenie attended a Christmas Carol concert being hosted by the Duchess of Cambridge at Westminster Abbey.
They joined other royals including their cousins Prince William and Zara Tindall and their aunt Sophie Countess of Wessex.
However, the allegations looming over Andrew do seem to have affected his daughters.
In July 2020, there was a happy occasion in the York family when Princess Beatrice wed husband Eduardo Mapelli-Mosi in a low-key ceremony in Windsor with only 20 guests in attendance under Covid restrictions.
But when it came to the official wedding photos released to the public, Beatrice's dad Andrew didn't figure in any of them.
The Queen and the late Prince Philip were the only royals shown with a beaming bride and her new husband.
The decision to release snaps without him was thought to have been taken by the family alongside advice from courtiers.
Andrew's youngest daughter, Eugenie, is one of the few royals who has a public and open Instagram account and she uses it to mark special family occasions such as birthdays.
On Father's Day in 2020, she posted a throwback image of herself and her dad wishing him a happy Father's Day.
However, in 2021, she opted not to mention her dad and instead paid tribute to her husband Jack Brooksbank, with whom she shares 11-month-old son August.
Meanwhile, over the New Year period, Andrew has missed out on a skiing getaway with his daughters and his grandchildren.
A source told the Mirror that the sisters were both very upset that Andrew could not join them on the ski trip as they hoped their children would be able to spend their first ski holiday with their granddad and the entire family.
It was believed his team advised him it would be inappropriate for him to be seen on holiday while facing s** allegations.
Speaking about the civil s** case trial Prince Andrew is facing, a source told the Mirror that Beatrice and Eugenie fully support their father.
The girls feel their father's name is continually dragged through the mud unnecessarily when really he is a good egg.
They feel the whole thing is an unfortunate business and they don't believe their father deserves what is happening to him.
In conclusion, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are said to be devastated after their father was stripped of his official status by the Queen.
While their royal roles were expected to expand, it is now impossible after their father was stripped of his military affiliations and royal patronages.
Despite not being full-time working royals, the sisters have still made appearances at big royal events, and while the allegations looming over Andrew do seem to have affected his daughters, they fully support their father.
