Princess Charlene and Prince Albert Reunite in Public Appearance After 7 Months Apart

Monaco’s royal family made a rare public appearance together with Princess Charlene, Prince Albert, and their seven-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriela, attending the Monaco E-Prix.

This marks Charlene’s first public appearance with Prince Albert since November.

The couple has been battling rumors of a rift, which the palace has continuously refuted.

The event also marks the first time the Monaco royals have been seen as a family unit since Charlene returned to the principality following her treatment.

Charlene, who sported a very short blonde hairdo and grey trouser suit, has been battling ill health, including a state of profound general fatigue, which has caused her to spend long periods away from her family.

She spent ten months in South Africa last year after contracting a dangerous sinus infection on a solo charity tour.

She then underwent surgery in October for an ear, nose, and throat infection in Dubai, where she checked in under a pseudonym.

After returning to Monaco in November, Charlene left immediately to receive treatment for exhaustion at a Swiss clinic.

The couple’s marriage has been the subject of numerous headlines over the years, with a third paternity suit emerging in December 2020.

Charlene famously shaved her head in the style of a punk rocker soon after the allegations surfaced.

The woman claiming to have had a love child with Albert sent a handwritten note in Portuguese to Prince Albert at the royal palace last September, but the prince’s legal team called the allegations a hoax, and the legal team of the woman concerned declined to comment.

Charlene has directly attempted to address the talk about a third possible love child, telling Point de View magazine last January that when her husband has problems, he tells her about it, and she stands by him no matter what.

However, the prince has fathered two other children outside of wedlock.

Jamin Grace Coromaldi, who is now 29, is the result of Albert’s affair with an American estate agent, and Alexandre Cost, 18, whose mother is a former Togolese air hostess.

Charlene’s background is a far cry from royal life in Monaco.

She grew up in crime-ridden Bernoulli near Johannesburg, the daughter of a swimming instructor and a photocopy salesman.

As a child, she developed a passion for swimming and won her first South African championship at the age of 18.

Four years later, she qualified for the 2000 Olympic Games as a member of the South Africa 4×100 medley relay team, which was placed fifth.

Charlene met Prince Albert at the Mare-Nostram swimming competition in Monte Carlo in 2000 when she was 22.

The pair took their relationship public in 2006 at the Winter Olympic Games and announced their engagement in 2010.

However, rumors began to circulate about Charlene’s unhappiness and homesickness in the run-up to the wedding.

There were claims that Charlene had tried to flee back to South Africa three times before the marriage and at one stage took refuge in her country’s embassy, leading to the runaway bride headlines.

Charlene denied all of the stories as utter fabrication but wept throughout their wedding.

Despite the rumors and challenges, Charlene appears to be doing better and was seen looking thoughtful during the Monaco E-Prix.

The event was a welcome sight for royal fans who have been eagerly waiting for the couple’s public reunion.

The palace has continuously refuted rumors of a rift between the couple, and this public appearance shows that the couple is still together and supporting each other through their challenges.
