Princess Estelle of Sweden Celebrates Ninth Birthday with Adorable Portraits

Princess Estelle, the eldest child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, celebrated her ninth birthday on Tuesday.

To mark the special occasion, the royal couple shared a series of sweet photographs of their daughter, taken at Hagga Castle outside Stockholm where the family resides.

In the photos, Princess Estelle looks more grown-up than ever, beaming in a white blouse and tartan skirt.

Alongside three solo shots, she posed for a portrait with her younger brother, Prince Oscar, and their puppy, Rio.

The siblings are all smiles as the dog sits between them.

Prince Oscar, who will turn five on March 2nd, is seen wearing a grey jumper with a geometric print and coordinating trousers.

The portraits were shared on social media by the royal house, garnering over 29,000 likes and a stream of well-wishes from fans.

Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar are often photographed together, with their parents, and most recently, a snap on Instagram showed them enjoying skiing.

The Swedish royals release official portraits on their birthdays, Christmas, and other traditional events of significance.

This year, Kate Gabor captured the photographs of Princess Estelle, which many Instagram followers praised as stunning.

Princess Estelle made history when she was born in 2012.

She is the first female in Swedish history to benefit from the change of succession law, which states that girls will not be overtaken by any future younger brothers.

Crown Princess Victoria, born in 1977, became heir to the throne in 1979, ahead of her younger brother Prince Carl Philipp when the change in the constitution came into effect.

In 2019, King Carl XVI Gustaf made some changes to the royal house, announcing that the children of Prince Carl Philipp and his wife Princess Sofia, and the children of Princess Madelaine and Christopher O’Neill will no longer be members of the royal house.

This meant that Carl Philipp’s sons, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel, and Princess Madelaine’s children, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicholas, and Princess Adrienne lost their style of royal highness and in the future will not be expected to perform duties incumbent on the head of state.

Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar are awaiting the arrival of a new cousin this year, as Prince Carl Philipp and Princess Sofia are expecting their third child this spring.

The Swedish royals are known for their close-knit family and their dedication to their country.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have been praised for their work on issues such as sustainability, mental health, and gender equality.

As Princess Estelle turns nine, the world watches with interest to see what the future holds for this young royal.

With her intelligence, charm, and grace, she is sure to make a significant impact in the years to come.

Happy birthday, Princess Estelle!
