The British monarchy has been hit by a new scandal as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and King Charles have decided to take action against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The treacherous couple has been threatening the monarchy through their Netflix docuseries, and the British Parliament and members of the royal family are united to come up with solutions to punish them.

According to a source, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will join King Charles in amending the 1937 Regency Act, which means that Harry and Meghan will lose all titles and no longer have any connection with the British royal family.

This move is set to push Prince Harry even further from the royal family following his 2020 royal exit.

Furthermore, Rishi Sunak today insisted Britain is not a discriminatory country in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan's claims in their Netflix documentary.

The Prime Minister also defended the royal family following attacks made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the couple's docuseries with the streaming giant.

Speaking in Riga, Latvia, after attending a meeting of some of Britain's military allies, Mr. Sunak said he was really proud.

And he described his enormous privilege in being able to champion institutions such as the monarchy while abroad.

It can be seen that both Prime Minister and the British people support the royal family.

Therefore, Charles and the prime minister will jointly change the Regency Act to punish the Sussexes.

But what if the councillor of state and how would these changes affect Harry's role in the royal family?

A councillor of state is able to fill in for the reigning monarch if they are indisposed, such as by illness, and carry out key royal duties.

The current act states that the spouse of the monarch or the next four adults in line to the throne may hold the position of councillor of state.

For King Charles III, this would mean Camilla, Queen Consort, followed by Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, and Princess Beatrice.

If the king was to be indisposed, Camilla would fill in for him first, followed by each of the four other councillors of state.

As a side note, should Prince Harry's new life lead him becoming permanently based overseas to the point that he is no longer a British subject and domiciled in the United Kingdom, then he will become ineligible to be appointed as councillor.

In these circumstances, Princess Eugene would replace him, but like her sister, she is not a working royal.

If King Charles changes the 1937 Regency Act, Harry will no longer be able to serve as councillor of state for his own father.

The change could push him further from the royal family, as it would further reduce his remaining connections to the monarchy.

It means a loss of connection and loss of titles and roles in the British royal family.
